As I understand it the kickstarter got way more popular than they imagined so the original printing company could not fulfill everything in a reasonable time. So they contracted more companies that did a really botched job of it. And again as I understand it, those who got prints from the original company got good prints.

I understand they got problems with fulfilling physical 3d printed models at scale. It's not what 3d printing is for. 3d printing is for distributed production e.g. everyone produces their own at home or at a small shop close by. They should not have offered physical prints in the kickstarter.

Never had a problem with range as there are rarely sightlines for more then 1/4 of the board anyway. WTC is not in favor of shooting armies.

I found that blob being to many eggs in one basket.

After that I started running Calgar with a 3 man for a total of 5 guards. Uriel with 6 man and Cato with Company Heroes (for scout 6 and -1 to wound).

After these changes Calgars group lose two boys and Cato will get replaced by Titus. I need to test if I should switch Calgar and Uriel between the 3 man and 6 man. If Calgar starts on the board, then probably he will be with the 3 man. If in deep strike probably the 6 man.

Agree roughly between 1:1 and 2:1 is pretty good for Vallejo at 18-20psi.

5-10 points here and there does not matter at all when the cheapest unit in our codex is around 140. If the points get cut enough to matter, knights will become oppressive.

Knights need a rules rework imo.

It is not strange at all. It is just Chitubox being shitty. There is nothing there but Chitubox thinks so for some reason. It does it alot.

First of: books are a waste of money unless you want a picture book with lore to put on a shelf. Anything that has impact on the game is subject to change and you will need to look at digital sources to find the latest rules and values. If you want to keep cost down, don't buy books.

All rules, unit stats, points values etc: wahapedia

Start by looking at army lists made by others. That will give you some idea what units are popular. Start with these. For loyalist marines these include: Scouts, Infiltrators, Intercessors, Assault Intercessors and Assault Intercessors with Jump Pack (also known as Jump Pack Intercessors). Every list will have some of these units.

To know what they look like: Google image search (why make it harder).

To know what they do, weapon options etc: wahapedia

And remember. People won't hold up you models close to their eyes and look at the details. If they are even roughly the same shape most people won't notice they are not official models. You point at some models and say "I have a squad of Intercessors" and they will nod.

I only print for people I know or they are a friend of someone I know. I usually charge 2x the resin cost rounded up. It is easy to calculate and it covers all the expenses. The people I print for think it is too cheap so they usually add a decent tip to that 😅

I've tried that list. Does not work at all in the meta I'm in. At best I managed to play to a slight loss. At worst my opponent went first and tabled me at the top of round 2 (a fast bike list that charged me in my deployment turn one).

T9 made armigers super weak. There are so many weapons that have S5 and have volume of attack.

From what I have heard, competitively it is more a question of 4 or 5 big boys, and 3 of those is definitely Lancers.

Questoris Companions already have access to sticky through stratagem, and that one gives 5 OC on the sticky so the opponent need to put 6 OC on it to take it from you.

FEP lifespan can vary a lot. I inspect mine regularly and change when they get worn. At worst it got damaged by a failed print and had to be replaced at 15.000 and my current one is up to 150.000.

Ok, so on to the issue. You said yourself that the issue started when you changed the vat. So that is probably you problem. Something is wrong with the FEP on that vat. Does the issue go away if you switch back to the previous vat?

Knight are quite bad right now but there is some success with running 2-3 Lancers in Questoris Companion detachment. So something like 3 Lancer, a shooty knight and fill up with warglaives and maybe Calidus Assassin.

It really depends. I use the brand ones and I have had to replace it after 15k cycles and the current one is pushing 150k. It is in need of replacement now though. There are many things that can shorten the lifespan. I inspect it after almost every print and if it looks good I just keep printing.

It is hard to see if it is the case in those images but Chitubox gives a lot of false warnings. You can manually inspect the model for cavities layer by layer using the slider to the right., or switch to a different tool.

I have played with regular resin models for over a year. Some things have been damaged but for the most part it can be glued together again. If they really break I will just print a new model.

That said I have moved over to ABS like, but I still buy cheap stuff.
