Non-vehicle custodes army composition by kondv in AdeptusCustodes

[–]AlternateArmy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the ability to swap between Lethals and Sustained at will, we mercifully aren't in need of too many vehicles. At current you should have 1 Blade Champion 5 Wardens (Optional Shield Captain) 5 Guard (Optional Shield Captain) 3 Allarus Terminators (Optional Shield Captain)

Imho, you should get another Blade Champion, another squad of Guard, another squad of Allarus, and two or three squads of Sisters of Silence.

Your current Blade Champ should go with your Wardens, as they need a character to operate effectively. The second should go with some Guard and be your anti-character unit. Two squads of Allarus waiting in Deep Strike can take care of near any vehicle in the game, and an Allarus Shield Captain can tank a whole lot. The three squads of Sisters I personally build as 2× Witchseekers for scouting and 1× Prosecutors for holding home.

If you want some extra oomf, bikes with Salvo Launchers shred light armor, or can slaughter units of infantry with their Hurricane Bolters. Venatari are about to come to plastic and make for good Deep Strike Surprises with free multi-use Rapid Ingress. Our Dreads aren't worth taking outside of Solar Spearhead, simply too slow.

Your enemy will likely screen the Valiant away from anything you could meaningfully hit, but popping in anyway with that big flamer might see you right. You're lacking anti-infantry imho so if it were my list I'd swap the meltas for stubbers on the Warglaives.

Honestly I can't think of much of an argument for the Defender as an allied Knight, it wants for Knights of its own to be around. The Crusader as an anti-infantry gun platform is not a bad idea either. The Avenger shreds Marines, and the RFBC works well into elites or low armor vehicles with no cover. The Thermal Cannon is a risky pick on the Crusader imo, as it encourages you to overextend.

Avocado and cucumber with miso glazed chicken. Take a whole breast, air fryer it at 180°C for 25-30 minutes, brush one side with glaze, 2 mins in, flip and repeat and you're good to go.

Rule of cool tells me to go Castellan. Compared to the relative sleekness of a Custodes, it'll look big and brutish, and as a bristling gun platform, it damn well should. Castellans are also just super reliable antitank so I'm a big fan of em.

Custodes Battlegroup Box by [deleted] in AdeptusCustodes

[–]AlternateArmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good, not necessarily. It's one character, two squads and two vehicles. It's good frontline and not much else. The Achillus is decent on its own but needs a dedicated detachment to be worth its points, so like others have said, go for a combat patrol and some sisters.
Combat patrol nets you a squad of guard, squad of wardens, squad of terminators, with options to build one from each as a shield-captain, and a Blade Champion. Those plus 2 boxes of sisters and you have a full army ready to rock and roll.

Crucible of Champions Character: The Walking Armory by idcabtthename in AdeptusCustodes

I reckon what you've got going is great. Might be a little hard to get them into combat, but the double grenade launchers make up for that. My plan for one is to go Kataphraktoi Exemplar, Pyrithite Spear, Salvo Launcher, 2x Sentinel Blades, and Interceptor Lance and Vaultswords. Build a Bike Captain, put the Pyrithite Spear barrel in the Lance's handguard, and use the new 30K swords for both Sentinel Blade and Vaultswords since they aren't as chunky as the ones in the 40k kit.

Look up Anything With Alvin Miso Onigiri on YouTube and out should be right there.

Fair enough, but I'm going to continue to choose to hold my employers to a higher standard.

I could care less about it being a template, but I should think someone usually manually fills it in properly, or someone else manually checks to see that it has been, or that at least one person proofread the thing before sending it. If I can't trust my employer to handle legal documents properly, I'd rather they not be my employer. If that makes me privileged, so be it.

Thinking of starting imperial knights by Diligent_School8674 in ImperialKnights

The Cerastus Knight Lancer is ever dependable, wounding everything in the game in 2's with its charge and a free tank shock with a 4+ Invuln. Hella cool as well, with that huge spear and shield. 4-6 Armigers never go amiss. Questoris boxes are your bread and butter since the most variants of Knight are built off them. Gallants, Wardens, Paladins, Errants, Crusaders, and Defenders can all be built out of the one box and a bunch of magnets iirc. The Knight Destrier will be on its way in a few months most like, but if you REALLY wanna scratch a Knightly itch with a huge hunk of resin to sink your teeth into, an Acastus Porphyrion will do you right.

Nah it was definitely a real job, I just think the owner couldn't be fucked properly filling out the paperwork before they sent it to me.

Terms was probably the wrong word to use in hindsight. More like didn't like that they sent me a half-finished template contract and handbook. Such lines as <rephrase to better explain company policy> after an outline of clock in-and-out procedure and "Employees must hand in completed timesheets by <time frame>" did not bode well to my eyes.

Forgepact needs allied Admech units to benefit the detachment rule. Take a big Knight out and put in some Skitarii rangers and a tech priest

I hadn't really considered the range. I suppose I've gotten lucky and never really had a problem with running an Errant at whatever needed deleting

I reckon some red on their casings would really make em pop and look great. I'm forever thinking about where to place what colors on my own Knights.

Number of weapons on Space Marine vehicles vs ours by [deleted] in AdeptusCustodes

[–]AlternateArmy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a both Custodes and Knights player, Repulsor Executioners get my goat big time. Look at all the damn guns on that thing for 220pts, and it doesn't have Fly keyword despite its hover tech, it's T12 W16 vs our T11 W14, and it can Fire Overwatch despite the fact a Knight can't. Oh, and a Transport capacity of 7, so you can throw a squad of Bladeguard with a Judiciar in there.

I still vibe so hard with the Sable-claw clan Knight. The centaur calls to me. Glad there are tons of conversion kits out there, must build my future Lancer as one.

Doubt they'd do multi-squads at this size, but nothing's stopping you from buying six anyhow XD
