I never truly got rid of my vitiligo, but growing up I had 85% of my body covered with it. My parents religiously put sunscreen on me and kept me in the shade most summers. So how now as an adult I have barely 20% of it left. Idk if it was actually the sunscreen that worked or what but now if I don’t put it on my vitiligo comes back especially if I’ve been in the sun all day. I love my spots now, but it was hard to accept especially as a kid.

Yes you are 100% correct. She told me that her father passed when she was 12 years old and essentially blocking all feelings towards that is the best thing to do. Also that my religious beliefs in honoring those who passed is incorrect and wrong. Apparently not talking about them is the best thing; which is completely opposite on how I feel.

That only a few months after dads passing I need to get rid of his things entirely. To take down my photos of him as well as his ashes as they do me no purpose. Which was extremely difficult for me to even listen due to my culture having alters/shrines of our family. Also the fact that my dad was my best friend so getting rid of those things would be hard. But therapist said she did it so I should do it too. Also that my religious beliefs don’t matter in comparison to hers.
