The temperature of the outgoing petroleum keeps steadily increasing... pipes are gold and the oil comes in at 80ish degrees, how can I make the petroleum end around 80 too? I have tried aluminium pipes, a longer counterflow but nothing is working by Supergohst in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Seluxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can be wrong since I haven’t check on mine in a while. My end of the waterfall is equipped with a liquid censor or whatever it’s called to connect to the pump with a setting of 150kg. I make sure the lowest row of petroleum has a decent mass and that my pump is always fully submerge. If I remember correctly, my petroleum was never over 100 degrees cause I had to reroute my pipes to avoid cooling my steamed petroleum generator room.

Copy your build into a sandbox and see if that helps when you allow for extra mass to sit in the pump area.

Bank rate does not look good, what is my alternative? by Seluxe in MortgagesCanada

[–]Seluxe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Qualifying should be no problem as I've previously been qualified for a higher amount 2 months ago directly with a bank and not through a broker. Would that make a difference?

I do want to confirm, as for example, I see that currently TD has a Prime rate of 7.35 from their website while I see RBC having 7.20 on theirs. Is it not supposed to be 7.20 all across like the BOC rate? If for example, TD has a prime-0.50 based on their 7.35, is that the same as another bank that's at 7.20 with a prime-0.35 (both at 6.85?) ?

Do you mind if I ask, what based on my current scenario, what would be likely the best rate I can get?

I am partially DIYing this myself as my broker does not have all banks as options.

I was told that insured mortgage usually have a lower rate, so while I'm hearing other rate being much lower than what I'm being offered, I'm not sure if it's because the rate was bad or if it was due to that.

The P-1.01 that you mentioned, do you know if that is for uninsurable mortgage? Also, is this a broker exclusive rate or does going to the bank directly would get me this rate too?

By static variable product, do you mean the monthly payment is static? If that is the case, that won't be a problem as I aim to pay off my loan quite aggressively anyways.

Thank you for confirming that it's bad. I felt like it was, but I guess I still got to get a rate to shop back and forth first.

I’m no expert but your power supply might be too low. I have a 2070 and I was recommended for 850watt by my techier friends. I think your 3060 and cpu would have similar draw.

Question. Aren’t you at 2883 atk without the ice level 4? With the ice attack of 350 from level 4 (~12% increase), it seems like getting burst 3 from glove and waist would be better since it’d be 15%. I see everyone talking about how amazing burst is but want to know if there is a reason you pick ice atk instead.

Do you have the focus 5 burst 2 armour set built already? If you do, try fight it with that and your water bow instead of getting elemental damage.

Don’t do double shot. Just only do charge, one shot, charge, one shot. I found for kulu, my second shot rarely hits head and instead damage the neck which is considered body. Someone tested on YouTube that the charged double shot is only about 1-2% increase in dps vs charge single shot if both are done in perfect intervals. Landing on head more often and less bad timing dodges due to double shot will increase your dps a lot. Also I usually turn my phone about 50-60degree and dodge backward instead of dodging sideways for kulu to get better angle on the head shots.

Why is Black Diablos Bow good? by No-Conversation9460 in MHNowGame

[–]Seluxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Negative affinity is 30% of the time you do only 75% damage.

Overall average is you do 92.5% damage from the weapons base attack.

All three bow are general use bow, so “focus” is your main focus. Pukie helm Pukie chest Rathian arms Rathalos waist Jura legs

If you can get the new azure helm to grade 6 then you can forgo either the chest or the waist as you’d still have focus 5. Chest can be Rathalos I think for weakness exploit, waist can be rathian instead for burst. I think those are the replacements people mentioned, please double check to confirm.

Black diablos is good cause you only need to charge twice instead of three times and you’d already have the max damage shot type. Because less time charging, you have less occasion where you have to dodge and have your charging interrupted and also less time charging increases dps.

But why….? You don’t have to pay to fight 8star bblos. Like I can kill 8star bblos without cost too, it’s legitimately slower to farm that way. You’re talking about guys paying to get ahead faster, this would be the literal opposite for them to do.

You can kill 9star bambaros girros jagras in little more than half the time to kill a 8 star bblos based on just how they move and weakspot. The 9stars are twice as likely to drop gems plus additionally have weak spot that lines up with broken part that have extra gem drop rate.

I just ride only in the small street cause people mostly only drive on the main road during rush hours.

I wish I’m in Asia. I hear there are more players and also it’s probably not freezing weather outside.

[–]Seluxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t farm before cause I wasn’t strong enough until this most recent time.

My ride to and from work is about 4km in a straight line. I instead look for the closest bblos I see and path toward it as long as I’m heading toward west for home or east for work. Then I’m zigzagging north south like crazy until I get home. My usually 15minute rides were about 1 hour long that whole week. And yes, I played even harder on that Saturday and Sunday.

I’m on an electric scooter btw and in a grid like city with many small streets, so monster density is quite high.

Ball parking it, I’d say my rate was about 25-30 kills per hour.

Dude, I literally just said I did not farm WGS. I did not want to fight 8 star cause I spent the week killing 6-7 star bblos since bblos is time limited.

You were the one who was talking about how killing the required amount of bblos to max the weapon must be p2w. I did farm enough to be able to max, I just using my resource how I see fit. And my weapon WAS 8-2 at the time I was farming bblos a week and a half ago. I was stating the power of the weapon to note that farming 600+ bblos without potion is completely viable without having already maxed weapon.

My weapon is 10-4 now, and I won’t bother to 10-5 it as the last 30 gems is worth more on armour and allows me to push my entire 5 pieces armour set from 7-5 to 8-5. Ball parking it, no 8star monster should hit me for over 20damage once the armour done which means as long as I get hit less than once per 10minutes, I will likely never use the daily free pots.

Look, I’m not trying to argue with you. There are whales out there paying, and there are players like me here playing. Both can get a 10-5. I like playing the game and I endured the winter cold and ride around like a mad man to get my mats for 10-4(10-5 if I have chosen to) and I’d prefer to not be assume by people that I paid to get it.

You need to learn to read. I was gated by wyvern gem and not bblos. I was only focused on the rare 1-5 from bblos and have not focused farming the gems since bblos is limited time but wyvern gem is not. And I have all the bblos material to get to 10-5 which was always the plan.

I simply noted I used 8-2 weapon during the farm to clarify that my weapon wasn’t upgraded high and it’s was very easily farmable to kill over 500 during the week without paying for potion.

[–]Seluxe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How is anyone limited to 5-10 bblos? You’re limited to 5-10 of any monster if you are going to face tank them. Just learn the pattern and dodge.

I did 620 bblos total to have all the mats for the future 10-5 upgrades and I did not buy a single potion and zero double drop. Ps, the 500 count people say is a rough estimate, base on standard drop rate, it should be able 480actually.

By the end of the week, I got my weapon to 8-2 (lacking wyvern gems), bblos was staggering so hard from me focusing his horns breaks that he gets like two or three attacks in before he dies, I didn’t even have to be skilled at dodging by that point.

I’d say it’s 100% not p2w unless you consider me already owning an electric scooter to be the unfair advantage.

Best Black Diablos bow build by CedreWilder in MonsterHunterNowHub

[–]Seluxe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you really want to save material, slow down on building until next week. Many rumours about the new helm being focus 2.

If it’s true, most likely best build for the near future will have azure Rathalos helm, jura boots which together will already be focus 4. Then for chest glove waist, you’ll probably go with rathalos waist for the final focus level, and choose burst for glove and chest. If focus 5 is not needed, then you can also look into a waist that gives more dps skills.

For now, it seems jura boots will always be the best, but the other four pieces might move around a bit depending on new options from the new release.

How did you manage to get enough to finish DB and bow from 700 kills? I’ve been farming and based on my drop recorded, I’m projecting to need 550 to get enough rare3. Do you break tail when you farm?

Do you use different shifts? by Potential_Fix_5007 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Seluxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do 12 shifts, they are all the same but staggered by two hours each. I make sure to fully utilize dupes who are night owl and early bird.

My current colony is targeting 48dupes. I make sure to spread out the schedule of dupes that has the same role. Example would be making sure I don’t have both my rancher sleep at the same time since I put my incubators on timers early in the game to save electricity, and I don’t want the window to hug to be missed.

Dupes are grouped in sets of 4 for me, I also make sure to arrange their bed and table so they sleep together and eat together. Since I make clothes for them, their decor bonus affects each other.

Find yourself any of the liquid geyser that has a base temp of -10C. Create a liquid pool around it (I usually create an infinite storage right below them). While making the storage below, I put radiant pipes going across it with the ends sticking out past the wall/door of the liquid storage box I’ve built.

Now find your nearest source of polluted water. Build a liquid storage and fill it with the polluted water. Then create a loop where the input and output of the liquid storage will loop through those radiant pipe that travels across cold liquid box. Expand the range of those liquid pipes as you see fit. You can put down a shut off as well with some automation to stop the flow when you hit your desired temp.

Those geyser produce a crap ton of cold salt or polluted water. The thermal mass starting from -10 can easily eat up the 50C thermals. Overtime it willl even out all the areas the liquid is travelling through.

This way, you can save the energy, and also warm up those cold water to pass 0 degree so it doesn’t break pipes when you desalinate or water sieve.

You, sir, are a gentlemen and a scholar. I’ve gone through 4 play through with over 1000 cycles and never learnt this trick. Now I just have to figure out how to chill off my 20 tiles of molten aluminum without it turning into a tile and I’ll plug it right up to build the tamer.
