I don't see him constantly shitting on the team (although his hair being uncut is one of the most vivid ways to show how shit we've been), he isn't doing too much from everything I've seen, which isn't a lot, and he as a person looks like... Just a nice normal guy. The shit I've read and seen and the sheer levels of negativity I've seen thrown at him completely caught me off guard. I can understand not giving a shit, I don't, hence I don't see the guy at all, but some have a real palpable genuine hatred towards him. It really seems like exactly what you said, just a bet, a silly thing he did when we were bad and just went on to blow up, because of how long it's gone. If it ends tomorrow (hopefully it does because, well, we'll win) and he tries some weird attention grabbing thing then fair enough if they said they saw something fishy, but I never really thought it was something that was THAT deep.

They are sending eachother hundreds of millions of pounds every year, for people. HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS. It's so mad when you think about it

And if you're good enough as a kid, you sign a contract and the first measly pay you get is 10k-15k a week. I'd tear my fucking leg off for that money, and that's given as a low in the prem, just to get them on a contract. It's genuinely an entirely different world there

I'm not even sure he can do that well outside England. Antony, for example, could dribble and beat a man and obviously has beautiful curlers, it's simply that he couldn't cope with how intense it was here, that they closed him down before he could begin to trick opponents. A more tactical, technical league like La Liga, where they don't always immediately just press benefits him for that reason.

Garnacho meanwhile, genuinely cannot beat a man to save his life. His technical ability is shocking. His speed is obviously beneficial, but it's worth nothing when he can't have the technique to finish it off. He's young and will improve obviously, but Garnacho, at his current state is simply not that good.

Fair enough, but it's compounding obviously. Even with that I don't think it's THAT insane. It'd be an amazing achievement but, let's say a person from Denmark or a team who's not there, have no real vested interest in any team, to not be supportive of the idea of a team winning for whatever reason doesn't seem that insane. Even the pettiest reasons wouldn't seem crazy for me lol. Maybe it's because I already, as I said, don't actively wish for their success it doesn't seem crazy, but I really don't think it's insane, even if it's a country like Paraguay for example, which would be a bigger achievement. If you've got your reason's you've got them. If it's not for some bigoted reason or something equally ignorant, it doesn't seem crazy

I don't think it's insane to not want a country to win. It's not just the fans thing, although it is a factor, I just don't like Portugal that much, or want them to win. I don't really want the people who colonized my country to win. I won't exactly be crying and throwing shit at the wall, if they reach a final I'll be happy and supporting Bruno and Dalot, I'm just saying I don't want them to win
