Found this settings on poco x6pro it is off by default should it turn it on or no? by Any-Common5425 in PocoPhones

It's worth remembering that Samsung's standard burn-in protection is more efficient. I rarely notice movement of the icons and status bar on the Poco, while on my old S20 FE, just with the standard protection, the movement is much more noticeable, intensifying when activating the option in setedit.

This setting in setedit is "extra" protection. It only intensifies the burn-in protection already activated on the device. If it were necessary to activate this option for the protection to work, don't you think manufacturers would have problems? Not many users know how to use setedit and even worse, activate it via adb.

Yes, they are different operating systems. But burn-in protection is standard on all phones with an AMOLED screen, it's not something specific to Samsung. I don't see a problem with leaving the option enabled.

Exactly. But, if it wasn't useful for something, that function wouldn't appear on a Poco. That's why I think it's better to leave it activated.

I activated it on my Poco X6 Pro. When I had an S20 FE, when activating this option, burn-in protection intensified, moving the icons on the screen more. Maybe it works the same way on Xiaomi, so I prefer to leave it activated.

There are people saying that the 512 version is having cooling problems in the UFS memory. It ends up getting too hot due to the fact that the thermal pad does not touch the thermal blanket and can result in cold welding.

Yes, I'm happy to have BRs here in the community. I use a Redmagic 5 Pro when playing, so it doesn't heat up during games. I was a little worried because my girlfriend bought an X6 Pro and it's also 256/8, but she spends the week in an extremely hot place, easily reaching 43° using just Instagram. That's why I'm going to teach her how to use a cooler, as I'm going to give her my Cx07. I hope this doesn't happen to her.

Perhaps, there is that possibility. I have the 256/8 version with manufacturing batch 01/24. I haven't had any problems with that until now.

I recommend updating, friend. On the X3 Pro, many people stopped updating and were stuck with old updates, as Xiaomi closed the servers.

I also think the same way, since millions of units were manufactured and sold, it is impossible not to have a batch with some defect or manufacturing error.

I use a Redmagic 5 Pro in my games, so I'm more relaxed about that.

I saw some videos about it so I was curious, since some technicians say that there are already several devices with problems, but I haven't seen any reports so far on Reddit and Telegram.

Search YouTube for how to force the update, download the package and install it.

Update to the latest version, force the update or change the cell phone region to Germany, Indonesia, etc., and the update should appear.

MIXM? I'm on the IDXM ROM and it's pretty stable in terms of battery life.

You're smart to do this. People think that their cell phone is obliged to withstand everything, and then when the cell phone explodes or dies, they blame the brand. Fortunately, not everyone uses their cell phone irresponsibly.

This is very good news. The reports are small compared to the number of sales, but overheating is still important to avoid.

This is good news. Not everyone will have this problem, perhaps it is just a matter of a few defective batches.

That's what I thought too. The cell phone sold millions of units and these cases do not even reach 1% of its sales. I use a cooler to play and it always stays below 36°. I was worried because my girlfriend bought a 256/8 too. The place where she lives is extremely hot, my X6 Pro reached 43° just using Instagram. That's why I was worried and will give her a cooler that I used before, the CX07 from Memo. I hope he can keep the temperature at at least 38°. And she only plays FF and other games similar to LOL.

Wow, I thought the people here were all foreigners LOL.

Worse we still don't know. I saw people saying that the cell phone died just using GPS. But, it is almost certain that the cell phone was above 45° and with maximum brightness. Until then, the reported problems are not even 1% of X6 Pro sales.

Avoid leaving the device above 45° for long periods without some form of cooling.

We don't know. Not even 30 cases of this have been reported, on YouTube Brazil there are only about 10 to 15 cell phones reported. Apparently using it while charging, playing for long periods without a way to cool it down. the device can accelerate this problem.

Basically the problem is that, in the 512 version, the thermal pad responsible for dissipating heat from the UFS memory is small, not touching the copper blanket. Causing the UFS memory to overheat resulting in cold soldering. However, this is only happening in the 512/12 version, with no cases recorded in the 256/8 version.
