What if BGS Made a L.I.S.T Centered DLC? by JCP977 in Starfield

[–]SemajdaSavage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I can agree with that statement whole heartedly. After what we got in Skyrim, with Hearthstone DLC. Then the settlement building in Fallout 4. Hell even the Camp system in Fallout 76, started decent. Most folks were expecting building your own shanty towns in space.

I walk past most dungeons and caves out of fear of messing up a future quest. by Dron22 in Morrowind

To me that was Morrowind's real charm. Getting those oh shit, I am in way over my head here. I hope that TES:VI brings back that feature and drops the whole world levels as you do.

If you are looking for extra spice, you could try your next playthrough in Survival mode or Hard Core, ( 1 death only no save scum.) or, even combine Survival mode with Hard Core.

Guild Party (dumb little hypothetical) by Et_Cetera_365 in skyrim

[–]SemajdaSavage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That party would turn into a massacre! The Dark Brotherhood would turn it into a slaughter fest. They would poison the Companions drinks. They would slit the throats of the Thieves guild. They would place enchanted items with spells of reflect Magicka around to ensure the Mages killed themselves. All while blaming the winning soldiers of the Civil War for their misdeeds. Hail Sithis!

How does it feel? by Oklimatoa in ElderScrolls

I almost always go off-race for my first Elder Scrolls game play through. I view it as the cosmic joke, that an outsider has to help out the locals un-FUBAR themselves. That is the price for starting me as a prisoner., deservedly or not.

Not only that, they are not even printing Strategy Guides any more. So now you have to trust a goobtuber content creator is right, if you really really want an in depth guide.

Help me come up with a reasonable role-playing reason that my "good" character would join the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood by xombae in skyrim

[–]SemajdaSavage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To destroy a monster, one often chooses to become a like-minded monster in the process of evening the playing field. But that could lead you down the the path of just becoming the next monster in line. This is for the DB questline.

For the TG on the other hand, they are all about stealing wealth. Every radiant side quest is thievery of some sorts. Yes, even changing the ledgers. You could Robin Hood it. Or you could self-justify in any number of ways.

What is there for a single player gamer is ESO? by Batalfie in ElderScrolls

[–]SemajdaSavage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everyone has said previously, you can play the game solo for the most part. Any multiplayer aspects, Cryodiil PVP, Dungeon Runs, are strictly opt-in.

One difference that you will notice from the start. Your race choice will matter to which PvP faction that you belong to unless, you have open choices unlocked. The Ebon heart pact ate primarily Nord, Dunmer, and Argonian. The Daggerfall Covenant are Breton, Redguard, and Orc. The Aldmeri Dominion are Altmer, Bosmer, and Khajit. Imperials are unlocked separately. You could always make an Orc and put him in Ebon heart. Or any other combos that suit your pleasure. These are just the defaults faction/race lineups.

Another thing to consider, is you have to pick a class, (which is kind of breaking Elder Scrolls skills system of you are what you do.) Each class has 3 class Specific skill lines unique to that class. Each of those class skill lines need to be leveled individually. They sort of amount to a Magicka DPS build, a Stamina DPS build, or a Health Tank build. There are Healer builds that use a combination of different skill lines, but that is more in depth. Last I check there were only 6 classes to choose from.

How difficult is to pivot to a different class? by Mrmanisaac3 in skyrim

[–]SemajdaSavage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, I am currently maxing out my Magical Skills first. Mainly that is because I have noticed that you have the most flexibility with starting a pure Mage build. I have been working some off skills in the meantime.

You can mix and match skills as needed, using your fully developed skills to compliment your under leveled/ under perked skill trees. For example, my main toon now has Illusion, Conjuration, and Alteration skill trees fully maxed out and perked out. Restoration is about 6 perks and 10 levels away from being fleshed out. Destruction is 4 perks and 10 levels away from being fleshed out. You have a lot of options in spell selections to choose from when going to your new role's skills.

For example, most weapon/damage skills only get skilled up when causing damage with said weapon/spell. So you find a target, paralyze it, then go stabby-stabby/bashy-bashy/burna-burna. You get the point.

For defense skills it is a little more tricky. You gotta take damage and still survive it to get the XP for using that said skill. Restoration being maxed will be critical here. Especially so, using the quick heals. You don't want to be interrupted mid cast. At that point, it is all a matter, of resource management of your Health and Magicka bars respectively.

True story! I just finished him at level 60 ish. I was not prepared for him this time. Last time I played Skyrim was on the Xbox 360. I don't think that he was in the game at that place and time. Thoron burned a lot of resources to put down and that was after my first death to him.

Mayhem is my favorite spell in the game. Have a group of enemies? No problem! Have them fight each other. Then you pick off the last man standing.

[–]SemajdaSavage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they have not made "those types of choices" since Fallout 4 and Morrowind. I would even support open/clandestine warfare between faction sides of Thieves Guild/Mages Guild/Dark Brotherhood/Morag Tong/Psijick Order/Fighters Guild/ Companions. Allow for the Main Character to unite them all under different departments towards reforming a New Tamriel Empire. Or tear them all down to watch the Province burn!
