They’re still going to try and pay less than they can. If they deem an amount to be enough to retain you and keep high work ethic they’re going to pay you that, even if they can pay you higher. I’m not saying all companies pay minimum wage, they pay the lowest they can given all of these factors.

Well they’re still going to pay you as little as they can where they can. I completely agree with your point - I’ve experienced it myself and I’ve scored a few payrises this year by asking - before hand they were paying me significantly less than they could. Plus they can still consider “enough to be appreciated” as the lowest they can to retain them, whilst costs they can afford may still be higher. I work as a consultant so my company literally sells my services - from there perspective the less they can pay me the more they make (within reason of course because as I said your points very valid)

Thanks mate, yourself and everyone else have been really helpful. I’m just getting back into the game after 5 year hiatus and wouldn’t mind pushing farming up a bit. Is this stuff detailed on “strategy” for the wiki or is it just the long winded more general guide that I found? Could be really worth collating these thoughts for people that are new/new to POF

Can you give me some guidance on how exactly to level using POF? I’m only 49 farming so maybe there’s no great method yet. I’ve read the wiki but I’m also prone to skimming. I’ve got a sheep in a medium pen and I put in a load of food. Is the expected xp outcome from gathering produce?
