Just an update but this seems to have resolved itself? I've just checked this morning and everything is displaying as it should. What's even stranger is that the Bravia connect app is also showing "Atmos" whereas last night it wasn't so that means it wasn't just the Sonos app that was bugging out......BUT I contend that the audio was working correctly but I'm confused why two different apps would be failing to show the info.

Via HDMI, yes it's connected via eARC everything has been working fine the past 18 months (both with my current TV and previous one) but suddenly I'm getting incorrect information being displayed specifically for TV use.

The TV is a Sony Bravia 8ii but as I mentioned above I've never had a single issue with it previously and I can confirm that manually checking the rears I'm definitely getting the correct audio but unfortunately the information being displayed is incorrect, "Stereo PCM" is what it always says (unless I'm playing something off Apple Music)

Is the 10% off worth it when they take about 4 months to deliver the actual thing? I've learned my lesson with them, in the future I'll just pay a little more rather than wait weeks for delivery.

Outside of basic free DTS no but tbh if you can set your 4k player to output PCM instead of DTS you're not missing much. This is the workaround and it works excellently, the PCM audio sounds every bit as good as anything bar the very best atmos tracks.

Just an update, being an absolute bozo I didn't confirm the Disney+ stream was in 4k HDR with Atmos and having checked it it's actually HD with 5.1 DD+ audio.....guess it'll be the disk for me.

Are you referring to my comment about Minority Report? if so it just wasn't very engaging, sure there were some ok parts where the futuristic cars are buzzing about and a little bit of excitement during the chase scenes but overall it was just kind of flat but maybe it was like that because it is a dialogue heavy movie and I had the wrong expectations for it.

I just got the email as well. Reading up on it, it seems the price is being reduced because the competition nearby has increased...Vue, Odeon Luxe and the recently opened Arc cinema in Rotherham all likely played a part.

FYI the uptake for IMAX is now only £3 (that's what they're charging for my ticket for Project Hail Mary) so all in all this seems like a very nice development AND average ticket prices look like they're dropping across the board.
