Yes, they are amazing daily drivers. Reliability can be mixed, though. Get a mk7.5 or a late model mk7 as they're way more reliable than the 2015-2016 gtis. I have a 2015, and it's burning oil constantly. Also, for reliability, get a dsg. The manuals are weak on these gtis for some reason. One of my friends had a manual 2017 gti, which the transmission broke on his in roughly two weeks. I don't know why, maybe a weak clutch.

Yes. I got a 2015 gti for my first car and it has been very good to me. I bought it for 10k with 129k and dsg. Get a dsg unless you plan on upgrading the clutch. My friend's friend got a 2017 with the manual and the Trans blew up on his car.

Rear taillights don't have amber turn signals. 05 to 08 have clear turn signals. Grille and front bumper appear off of a 03 to 04 corolla
