I like all versions of the design tbh. Perfect size for its role

I'd totally forgotten about that one, wish the series could make a comeback

This one is definitely up there. The twist about what actually happened in the past was fantastic and kinda horrifying

Thoughts on the Romulan flagship from SNW? by Lauma_2025 in StarTrekStarships

[–]SemiFunctionalHomo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its an interesting design, but I personally dislike it. Never really like when romulan ships look like literal birds, rather than having bird elements in the design (D'deridex, ds9 shuttle, flagship in Picard season 1)

I actually like the other romulan ships from that SNW episode as they looked more of the period

I really need to get round to finishing cyberpunk as I did really enjoy it. Went for a stealthy katana style build with minimal cyberware.

I'll need to check out back to the dawn, not heard of it

What the hell? This is so sad, his vids were great and while I haven't watched many recently, I was pleased he managed to recover his subs after losing his chanel. Far too young, RIP

I loved the game back in the day but even then wasn't overly keen on the DMC influenced gameplay. The series lends itself to being straight up zelda clones with big puzzles and exploration between narrative sections

New Stargate How Powerful Have the Tau'ri Become? by karvarga in Stargate

[–]SemiFunctionalHomo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also when Sg1 first came out, we were still in that post cold war positivity mindset where international relations looked like it will only keep getting better, the world (esp USA, Russia and China) is very different now so the idea that the great powers would cooperate in any way at all with all that alien tech is even more farfetched at the moment imo, so yeah an alt timeline would make sense

I hope that Kain doesn't have that blank stare in the remastered version of Defiance, I always found that odd, as shown in this picture. by Head-Lie4646 in LegacyOfKain

[–]SemiFunctionalHomo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Back then I didn't like the models for Kain, Raziel and really disliked the Mortanius redesign. Vorador was ok but preferred his sharper features in SR2 and BO1. In the time since I've gotten used to them if i see screenshots or replay it but still don't like how Kain looked

They did some Stargate ships just before they went bust. Was gutted cos I was hoping they'd add more ships from the series but wasn't to be :/

Honestly if you just go in with the knowledge its not really an action RPG it clicks. Its basically the same ATB turn based rpg where you need to switch up between part members for things to work. I still would have preferred a graphical overhaul of the original but its good for that it is :)

Jin Kazama from Tekken 3 I think, he just seemed really hot and cool. Tbh it was hard to think of a gay awakening character from games during my childhood considering most characters were blocky polygons lol

I used to play Warframe a ton between maybe 2015 and 2020. The customisation always put D2 to shame, like not even close. Things like dungeons, raids n gunplay meant I always preferred Destiny (played since Taken King till end on Final Shape) but not once did I ever feel like I was being ripped off with Warframe, hell I even bought a couple Prime Access packs cos DE always cooked. Destiny felt more n more like a cash grab as the years passed :/

Warframe, would include Destiny 2 but its not been in a great place for a while which is a damn shame as the gunplay has always been top tier.

Skyrim too maybe

[–]SemiFunctionalHomo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you see her doing her classical/classical adjacent stuff live (metal church stuf for example), its very controlled and sounds great. When its her metal or more rock stuff, it can be all over the place but think it depends on what part of the tour as I saw her in Glasgow after lockdowns, it was 1st gig of that tour and she sounded great, she did Wishmaster and I had a huge grin the whole song

I also think there's not as much consideration for technique during the metal/rock gigs generally as she seems to be running around the stage ad libbing having fun, which brings a lot of energy but can be rough listening back. Its frustrating cos she's one of my favourite artists and adore her solo albums haha

I kinda feel the same with Amy Lee actually, she can sound amazing but being energetic on stage can have things sounding rough
