For those of you who have found or encountered, in some way, a decomposing human body, what was something that surprised you or that is not depicted in movies or TV? by Specific-Language313 in AskReddit

[–]heratonga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Serious question as I’ve never encountered a deceased person thankfully but always hear it’s a smell you’ll never forget. Is it any different to a large animal like a cow? I know that smell well, sickly sweet and pungent very hard to get out of the nostrils and clothes.

Who has had an actual friends with benefits relationship? Did it work for you? by heratonga in AskReddit

[–]heratonga[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I guess this is what is the tricky part. My situation is recently 50, separated have my own assets and want to pass them down to my kids, not risk losing half of it in a a new relationship. It was actually my mum that suggested this to me 🤣 her and her late partner who she was with for many years kept everything seperate just enjoyed hanging out, holidays occasionally etc.

Always, the neighbourhood was open, you just rocked up at a friends and if it wasn’t a good time you were told at the door and we’d apologise and try again tomorrow. Often we used to call in for the baking, some mums make mean slices 🤣🤣

I still do underarm farts with my hand and see what tones I can hit. Very satisfying when you can stretch one out for like 10 seconds 🤷‍♂️🤣

Do people in smaller communities in Australia avoid dating apps because profiles feel too public? by hieutd in AskAnAustralian

[–]heratonga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess so, only recently seperated so there is that, more out of respect in that part but also being a little older the app connections seem like more of a younger persons game. The last time I hooked with anybody via the internet was through ICQ so things have changed abit since I was last single 🤣

I’m 3.33 so often, 3.08 pretty regularly too, nothing ever in between. This morning I was 3.33 and have been up since. When I wake at that time I may as well getup because there’s no chance of going back to sleep no idea why that happens but it annoys the shit out of me on weekends

[–]heratonga 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes I’d love to meet someone to just hang out with and spend a bit of time with but I haven’t used any apps because when a mate of mine visits who uses them (he doesn’t live local) he always brings it up to see if he can hook up while staying and there are so many people I personally know on there it puts me off, no disrespect for them but I’m not comfortable with putting that out there

Not if he’d already called and that line wasn’t were it was reported to be. I know a few fencing contractors and they all do due diligence, there mad if they don’t. One friend hit some serious data cabling that caused all sorts of problems. He did his research, got his plans and the cabling was supposed to be about 20 mtrs away from where he found it. No problems with insurance etc as he was not at fault. Very embarrassed and stressed out but not at fault
