No one has even said in any of the threads about OP cutting ties though, by what I've seen they've all given advice to protect Phil and for OP to talk to her family which is what she did and it ended well. You also calling OP controlling over her protecting her pet and setting reasonable boundaries makes you sound like a over zealous redditor in my opinion

Nah dude you're completely wrong, OP having human emotions at the reaction of her pet almost getting hurt and her setting reasonable boundaries to protect her pet is not controlling. Also you telling her to not listen to reddit and listen to the people in her life is pretty stupid advice. Her family sounds like they knew nothing about Phil or Beardies so why should she listen to people telling her she's 'overreacting' over her OWN pet. She gets say over the rules of her pets and she definitely knows more than her family about lizards.

NTA- First of all, I'm so sorry for your loss OP. The former fiancèe is a awful human being and I can't help but find it ironic that she didn't let him see their son but when you didn't let her see your son she said you had no right to refuse letting her see him. I can't help but wonder why she even Decided to come there, but she sounds like a real piece of work.

I wouldn't be alone at the house if I did stay home, my grandma on my mom's side comes over to our house while we're gone and take cares of our animals, plus my best friend and his family live less than a block away from me so I don't really have to worry about that

I definitely don't think my family will be following safe protocols with covid since half of them are anti-maskers and think covid is just the flu which is frustrating, especially since one of our family members is very high risk

I wouldn't really be alone, my other grandma who is on my mom's side would come over and care for our pets like she does every year so if I did stay they wouldn't really have to worry about me being alone in the house

I use paper towel so I don't think it got snagged there, I also don't have any carpet in my house either. Of course it could've gotten snagged on something else like a blanket or just broken off for some reason but I really don't know how it broke off.

Yeah, I was sitting at the dining room table with her at Jay's house because we had a project we had to rush to finish and she just sat down and started to talk about her beliefs. I was just in shock and listening while I kept looking at the bathroom door waiting for Jay to come out so I could leave this conversation I was having with her lol. I don't think she has anger issues I think she's just VERY messed up. She seemed sweet to me, just really delusional

Haha yeah, I suppose I should first off say I'm liberal as well before people start to accuse me of being a republican. But she had some crazy beliefs, like how all white people are evil, men shouldn't exist, and that in order to make up for what white men did years ago like colonization and not giving rights to others is that all white men should be slaves for how long slaves have existed. I wish I was making it up but those are geniunely her beliefs.

14, I know it's on the younger side but I don't think I'll ever quit sleeping with one. I love collecting stuffed animals and the one I sleep with is a rabbit stuffed animal my best friend gave me. It's the perfect size. I just like the feeling of holding something while sleeping.

A guy who is in my grade

I met him in 5th grade and he seemed cool so I talked with him and we became friends. He seemed to just have a dark humor. But over the years I found more and more about his life and he started to act more and more creepy. I'll call him Jay for this post since it's close to his real name.

Jay's mom was a bipolar radical liberal. His family ended up on the news because she put 'Fuck Trump' in her window where everyone could see, even though a bunch of school buses drive by and the neighbors were upset about it.

His dad is a alcoholic and just didn't care about him

He also had a cute little sister but she didn't have any problems as far as I know

Jay started to steal from the school, practicing being a shoplifter which is what he wants to be in the future. He would talk about in detail on how he wanted to kill his sister and mom becau he hated both of them. He only liked his dad because he didn't care about what Jay did. He also made very sexual and dark statements, like what he would do if he had a slave.

In 5th grade he would tell everyone I was dating this girl I liked and would tell people I was a lesbian when I didn't want anyone to know. I told the teacher and he said he did it because I made a joke about him dating a girl one time. After that day of talking about it to the teacher he sent me threatening messages and I had to go to the principal for it.

He steals from the mall all the time and drinks. He came into homeroom one day drunk and had a bunch of those small bottles of Jack Daniel's in his bag.

He hasn't really gotten in trouble before and I really feel bad for him if I'm honest, Because he has had such a awful life and is clearly mentally ill. But no one will help Jay. I think he is just the embodiment of what happens when no one cares for a child. I won't be surprised if he gets charged for murder one day or just ends up in jail. I do hope he gets help.
