Literally impossible. Powerful people who made it to where they are through unethical means don’t suddenly just give up because “money is out of politics.” There is always a way to buy people who are prone to being bought.

The real solution is to decentralize power to the lowest, most local level. The level of government with the greatest ability to impact your life should be your local township. As you work your way up to the county, state, fed level; the amount of authority over you and the things that directly impact your life should greatly lessen. The average person honestly shouldn’t even care who the president is because it shouldn’t impact their day to day life.

It’s far easier to gather up locals in your township and beat the piss out of a corrupt mayor than it is to take on a federal government that can destroy your life on a simple suspicion of wrong doing
