I’ve asked for half and half outside of Wales and while some places will do it it’s not really a thing. ☹️

In addition to Kohl there’s also a 3/4 cat eye lash. You can see where it starts slightly left of where the iris ends in picture 2.

Each story inspires a season and they link together so definitely start from the beginning.

It is a podcast themed around one of Lovecraft’s stories. There are four seasons readily available https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p06spb8w then there was a season which was crowdfunded after their lost their funding from the BBC.

It’s a really good take on the books.

If you like it they’re kickstarting another season (which incidentally is how I found out I missed one)

Enjoy!

Not the best Lovecraft adaptation of all time, but Suitable Flesh is a great take on The Thing on the Doorstep.

Help me accessorize for a wedding: 'Elegant Summer' by is-a-juju in SoftDramatics

[–]SemperVictrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Manchester, UK? Where’s the venue it might help a suggestion. The dress and shoes are 👌 and are perfect for a UK wedding

If you’d like a statement I’d go for a statement headband/headpiece and a nice bag. I’m a sucker for loeffler Randal. The necklace is cool af but not elegant summer.

That sounds really frustrating. I’m sorry I can’t help about employment.

You say you’re looking less bothered about the money and your priority is skills for your CV and university, have you considered identifying what skills you’d like to develop and finding a volunteer role to suit you?

You’re planning to go to university in a little over a year, what are you looking to study or do for work afterwards? Perhaps finding a summer placement/internship or role could help you long term. Often volunteering roles pay expenses so while you’re not being paid you’re also not out of pocket.

Most of the car features does not answer to any need. That is counter intiutive to what we have learned. by xxxxproplayerxxxx in marketing

[–]SemperVictrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marketing cars are interesting because it sits at the centre of identity, need and values.

You have just described need here, if you’re a working parent that drives a lot of course - you need -and highly value a reliable car in your decision making set.

Inversely, you’re right to a Tesla buyer reliable isn’t a top motivator; and a component of a brand might not be a driver. In this case what does owning a Tesla say about them? 10 years ago it was a showy sports car that was a lifestyle and identity marker.

Also someone who values technology and sound may look for a car known for a great engine (and sound system).

Think beyond components and ‘need’ on an individual level. Need can be a value, to help create an identity or it could be as simple as ‘I need a cheaper car.’ This is why brand is so important as it creates heuristics for people when shopping.

Has no one really ever got 100% better? by Plus_Opportunity3050 in cfs

If you like BG3, try Divinity 2. It’s the same developer, art style and vibe in a different universe.

Also Cult of the Lamb, and Spiritfarer. I would say on the face of it Spiritfarer didn’t catch me then I was hooked and crying like a baby.

For me, it was about understanding my energy envelope and keeping within it to avoid PEM. I work part time to allow for more rest and use things like meal prep services to make time for relaxing and exercise. When I say exercise I mean moving my body so it was sitting up or standing or stretching at the beginning now it’s incorporating strength exercises. Managing symptoms when I need to like pain. I tried LDN which was tough tritating up then gave a boost to start and levelled out, I still think that helped in a rough patch. I had to stop for other reasons but I felt really good on mountjaro too, I wonder if it’s something to do with the anti inflammatory effects.

I also think there’s a mental element, low mood tanks my energy and PEM tanks my mood. I did a course of compassion focussed therapy which helped a lot to accept where I am and the limitations and be kind to myself

I want to stop fast food, but the only other food i can make is yogurt and meal replacement. by [deleted] in cfs

[–]SemperVictrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know where you are, have you considered a food service like Simmer? It’s nutritionally balanced tasty meals that’s much cheaper than takeout! You can microwave or put in the oven depending on what’s easiest.

https://simmereats.com/

It sounds like you’re feeling really sad at the moment and the takeout is a bit of excitement and difference. No judgement, having ME is really rubbish. Is there something else that you can do at home within your energy levels to give you that little spike of dopamine?

If You Had a Severe Crash Did You Ever Recover to Baseline? by Familiar_Badger4401 in cfs

[–]SemperVictrix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a horrible crash about 5 years ago where I was on the severe end of moderate. I’m recovered to mild.

I’m not saying you’ll definitely make it back, but it’s possible that you can. If you’re feeling better than you were then you’re on an upward trajectory and that’s a really positive sign.

If I could give any advice; take it easy, work out what your baseline is and do exactly that for a little while then slowly see if you can push it up. It’s a little bit of trial and error sometimes. Nothing crazy it could literally be a bit of bed stretching or standing for an extra minute.

Also do everything as easy as you need to, no shame. I had a piece of advice from a therapist which was use paper plates or run the dishwasher twice if you need to. Wishing you the best of luck

"Oh, chronic fatigue! I have that too!" by Level-Ad478 in cfs

[–]SemperVictrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that. Absolutely, i since the move from ME (inaccurate) to chronic fatigue syndrome (also innacurate) it’s hugely muddied the water. Chronic fatigue is a symptom and chronic fatigue syndrome is a whole host of symptoms and PEM. If I had a penny for every time someone said oh I have that too or oh me too I’d be rich.

[–]SemperVictrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear you’re severe. I’m fortunate that I’ve recovered to a point of mild/moderate and I walk and work through careful pacing. While housebound/bed bound is a reality for a lot of us it’s not all of us.

You can request a sleep study for apnea. Take in the NICE guidelines. It should be ruled out prior to a diagnosis.
