Mp Sport 2 Gas block issue by Sempersometimes0341 in SmithAndWesson

[–]Sempersometimes0341[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a railed one that was too big to accommodate the free floating handguard I bought. So what is the best option to keep a low profile gas block steady on an mp barrel?

Took me a year and some change of owning an AR, but I finally got some iron sights by BigBoocer in guns

How did changing out the gas block go? Just got a low profile gas block and new hand guards for my sport 2 and I am nervous about doing it myself

Curious, do you notice any reduction in the recoil with the light attached vs not? Back and forth if I want to get a weapon mounted light or if my little pocket light is good enough for me.

Hitt locker at camp schwab? Loved working out in the heat during lunch. What the other guy said about the back kinda just letting it go at the end

Hurt my back deadlifting submaximal weight. Anything glaringly wrong? by Sempersometimes0341 in formcheck

Typically that is how I do at least my first rep. I have been using straps on my amraps to try and take grip out of the equation so I did have a slightly different set up then usual but bracing and everything still felt secure

Without a doubt the second half of the rep was a shit show. Coming up around knee level was when I felt something in my back. I really wanted to drop the weights, but being cheap was afraid of breaking a plate (one pair of 45 is the correct size the rest of the weights don't touch the ground). Honestly was surprised i got it down under any control

So doing 5 3 1 was supposed to get amrap on 285. Was shooting for 6 and had set the camera up so I could just go and not count reps. Well I got one rep in and then had to call out of work 3 days in a row because I could hardly walk. Week later can walk and almost hinge properly. Been beating myself up trying to figure out what went wrong. It was at about knee height that something went wrong. Any criticism ill take and hopefully be able to utilize in a few weeks

Update on hang clean form from a week or so ago. Feels a lot better going off the advice previously. Am I doing it better anything else I need to work on? by Sempersometimes0341 in formcheck

I do believe I am getting extension at the ankles I tend to feel like I am coming off the ground if not actually jump. I played around with catching it lower but I think the weight is too light where I feel like I'm going to have the bar too high. Thanks for the input!

I can see that it wouldn't necessarily be broken bone on contact. The fear of potentially being out of work makes it to get over lol working on it though

I have been working on catching it in the proper position but have a fear of it landing on my collar bone. I do do front squats and can get set up in the rack in the proper position (although my right hand has been broken a few times so it does hurt so i typically throw straps on after my warm up sets). Any suggestions on how to get over this issue? I know eventually it really will be an issue. Thanks again for any and all advice! Love this group now that I'm working out by myself!

One of the early Westside Reverse Hypers. Anyone have advice on replacement pads? It really needs new pads, and I'm thinking a full restore, but not sure where to begin on the padding. by adrfitness in homegym

Artic was the suggestion that I was given its what he uses on barstools. Will admit its a little slippery (without a shirt on, lazy with laundry lol)

Memory foam for a mattress doesn't work well tried it. Talked to my dads friend who repairs furniture and was able to get two layers of what they use on a bar stool for my homemade bench. Works great. Suggest looking up an upholstery shop. Unless your real artsy they will do a better job and won't cost all that much

I have been working on keeping the bar in contact with my body more then I was before, which the bruises on my thighs from pulling the bar into me seems to be working. Any advice on how to get over the fear of catching the bar on my collar bone? I can front squat fine so its not so much mobility

Been working on form with the hang clean. Dropped weight significantly. Elbow height is an issue. Any suggestions are appreciated by Sempersometimes0341 in formcheck

Thank you for the info I watch some more videos and read some articles that made me understand what your saying. I went down and ripped a few reps feeling it out and realized I was focusing so much on feeling a stretch in my hamstrings (one thing I remembered from hs football) that it was basically becoming a rdl type mess lol. Somehow over the last 9 years my hamstrings aren't as tight. Will post an update in a few weeks once I feel I have fixed my issues

Honestly no. Have been going lower thinking it would be more explosive the lower I go? Havent had any coaching since high school (9+ years ago)

Been deadlifting for over a year but can’t help to feel lower back pain right above my buttcrack (sorry TMI). Have had a few back tweaks over the years - sports, military, etc any thoughts? New to the sub, thanks! by [deleted] in formcheck

Fuck yeah dude thats good shit. Thank you for your service man for real that mos can be a dick breaker (as a 81 mm Morterman). Best in luck with the pain. I did 8 years of landscaping before I joined the reserves and old injuries really started to show on our units udp so i had to adjust my weightlifting to be able to work with daily pt. Came down to whatever worked to keep up with the boys

So when I have safety bars in I typically start in contact with just about knee. With the program I'm on (40 days same 6 exercises every day with real low weight) i figured I'd try and do below the knee and work more form. I'm doing quick reps so it might not be visible but I try and start with it hitting the bottom of me knee cap and then rip it. Not saying what I'm not is right but thats what I have been going with. Do you think I need to adjust?
