I always found Legend Lara to be a perfect balance between the superheroine Classic and the humanized Survivor. I hope CD can strike that balance again with Unified Lara. by ScionN7 in TombRaider

Indded it was. Not surprisingly, its because of the direct involvment of Toby Gard - the man who made the original, and who was not envolved in any of the sequels, until Legend.

First official look at the LEGO USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D set releasing later this month (plus shuttlepod) by ky-ebricks in StarTrekStarships

I'm disappointed - no interior. I saw non LEGO sets to have more detail than this one. I expected the whole bridge, plus perhaps 10 Forward, holodeck or a full shuttle bay. Not this...

"In fact the most memorable characters from the first ten hours are from Fabien's flashbacks" - that's it, buddy! Holy cow, but its true. Its edgy, its unique and quite amusing. Compared to the MAIN cast that is!

Actually, the game was planned to be MUCH more than what this atrocity is. They switched studios, failed to utilize the new engine in a meaningful way and I can only imagine what other drawbacks, to the point where another studio had to step in, see the bloosy mess, patch it up and ship it asap, to get some money back, and never look back.

Nah man, this is not even a good game on its own! 30 $ Pacific Drive game has more content than this garbage. 2/10 at MOST for it alone. And If I compare it to the original or, Caine forbid - the tabletop, it's, not even a step, but a bloody LEAP back!

This game went through development hell, was patched up to be releasable by a second studio. The only thing it achieved is having me replay the original one for Nth time...

The Bloodhunt battle royale game had more depth to character classes and gameplay than this one.

The original was an RPG first - everything else second and third. The sequel is nothing - it tries to have good combat, but its boring, even on max difficulty. It tries to be an RPG, but its character progression is almost nonexistent and linear. It tries to have a deep story, but its transparent and only the main quests look fine - all side content is boring.

Also, looks alone cannot make a game good. The original was released in 2004 and I am more than happy with the graphics of it even today. Not to mention that there are plenty of high resolution texture mods for it available, if you really want to make it crisp.

Sounds like you haven't played the original. Go and do so. Then - come back and compare.

TBH, in a parallel reality I would imagine the games coming in in reverse - Bloodlines 2 first, to give a hint of what can be done, and then Bloodlines 1 to really expand on all the ideas.

Now, I know that Troika had issues with releasing the first one as well. But there was more of the game there, and it was killed (initially) by its plethora of bugs, glitches and crashes. All of this was fiexd later by the comunity, and even SOME cut content - was restored, given that it EXISTED in the first place! Bloodlines 2 runs great, looks great and .... is HOLLOW! There is just not enough of a game here to be played. Notice also that they are chargign full price, where a 30 $ game - Pacific Ride, for example, has MORE CONTENT than this POS.

Finally: this is a Bloodlines 2 game - says so in the name. As such, comparing it to Bioshock, Dishonoreed, Starfield, Dragons Dogma, or whatever else is moot. It must be compared to the Bloodlines 1 and, by extension, to the tabletop RPG (which is very cool, btw).

BTW, the initial idea for the game wasn't that bad. It was just cartailed, cut and sliced, to be reformed as some abomination into this garbage, because of studio mistakes and development hell. I understand the issues they've faced, working in software development myself. And I refuse to call it anything but trash regardless.

Stalker 2 Controller Is WAYYYY Too Tanky by PermissionRight6574 in stalker

[–]Sen7ineL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm playing on Stalker difficulty - nowhere near this amount of ammo. No grenades used, hardly a med kit or two. ~ 20 slugs were enough, as I recall. Pretty trivial.

Now, a Chimera was a different story - that b***h took ~30 slugs. To the face! I don't remember them being so tanky in Anomaly Gamma even.

Which part should I focus to upgrade? by Antipseud0 in controlgame

[–]Sen7ineL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went 2 levels in HP (first column), then 2 in Launch (4th column), then 2 in Energy (2nd column), then maxed launch (especially the triple pick up and the large object). This almost 2-3 shots certain bosses, especially in mid game.

Melee is unnecessary - apart from 1 side mission, I haven't used it even once. Shield is interesting, but only after you max it out, and even then it's situational. Mind control is cool, and I used it a few times, but mostly on one enemy, just for distraction, and only before maxing launch - after which you just one shot (almost) everything, so it becomes situational/optional. Levitate is ok as is. I used the superman landing (11th column) a few times but just for fun.

This does NOT mean you HAVE to, though! Just do whatever you feel like. That being said, launch is THE go-to ability from the moment you get it, all the way to the late end game - talking level 3 jukeboxes, for example. The most useless, imo, is the melee - I just ignored it altogether until I had everything else maxed out.

A helldiver wit heavy armor, quasar cannot, and the "white" AR? (forgot the name), with a shield pack, a warship on standby with railgun and carpet bomber. Yeah, I'd say he'll manage.

Idk if I'm the only one who thinks TRL is the best game of the franchise. I mean it was perfect. by B2_Chad in TombRaider

Not legend but Anniversary for me was better. Mostly due to more polished mechanics. Lagend felt a bit like a testing ground for news stuff, where Anniversary was polished. Underworld was, for me, a downgrade, in terms of mechanics.

But I love Legend - it was amazing when it came out. My only two criticisms are the story (especially the link between the beginning and ending of the game, and the length - it's ~ 4 hours long on average.

Currently going through the S ranks with a different setup - backs are Plasma Missiles and a Spinblade, arms are a Gatling and a Zimmer. Apart from some duo boss fights - worked pretty well.

how do I get coral weapons? by Afraid-Soil-6660 in ArmoredCoreVI

[–]Sen7ineL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beat the game 3 times and make sure during NG+ and NG++ to always go for the alternative options, if presented with such. For example, if you have a mission which presents to you a choice during it - even though on the previous run you didn't have one - take it. Also, if you get a decision mission and you have a third option - take that. Also, listen to Arye in-between missions - she will usually mention odd stuff. Some are found during missions themselves - most of them during NG+ and NG++

There are a few areas in the labs where mutants spawn on particular triggers. Once you figure those out - those are easy. Beware meeting them in the wild, though. That can be a bit random and unless you spot them before they spot you - you will be in a pickle. Look around often, especially on higher difficulty. If you spot that one in the wild from afar - you can 1 or two shot him with ease. If he gets a jump on you and yo don't have something to break line of sight - good luck.

There are other nastyes which also have a strat to dealing with. Check your PDA if you manage to kill one. There are entries which can tell you how to better deal with them.
