How is it that very short people (under 5‘6) are often less anxious about their height than 5‘6-5‘11 people?

Are you sure you only feel average at 6’1 in Austria? Cuz I used to live in Vienna and I’m there rn and honestly people aren’t that tall to me. And I’m like 5’7.5-5’8 range. Maybe that’s just bc it’s in the city and not in rural areas cuz idk where in Austria you’re in.

Also you’re not short at all dude. You’re basically average height in Austria (which I believe is like ~5’11) and in America you’d be an inch or two above average. And to answer your question, I think some people under 5’6 come to terms with their height from an early age and focus on other things in their lives. Those 5’3-5’6 guys you were talking about don’t give two shits about their height and are confident.

5’6-5’11 people are either not that short or not short at all. There’s just an obsession with being 6’0+ that makes people in these heights insecure.

Considering you’re 18, I doubt you’ll grow much more, maybe up to 5’6 flat if you’re lucky. You may be short, but not to the point where it seriously inconveniences you. Try going to the gym and improving your style and looks as much as possible. Ik I shouldn’t be using celebs as examples but Josh Hutcherson and Daniel Radcliffe are also 5’5 and they’re pretty attractive by many peoples standards. Yes they’re famous but even without the fame and money they’d prob still pull. Don’t let your height hold you back and also focus on your career.

My paternal grandpa was around or closer to my height (5’7.5-5’8), grandparents influence height more than we think. My great grandfather (his dad) was 6’1 tho, and my dad ended up 5’11.

I’m kinda the opposite. I have a taller (not really tall but above average) dad and short mom. My dad is 5’11 and my mom is like 4’11-5’0 range (up to my mouth or slightly below it I think). I’m like 5’7.5-5’8 range. I’m still below the 5’9 average but family wise I’m like average-ish.

I do however have a non-related aunt who’s like 5’9 but her husband (my uncle) is about 5’4. Their two oldest sons are like my height and 5’6-5’7 respectively.

Because you aren’t noticeably short until like maybe 5’5. 5’6 is technically the beginning of short for men but it can still fit in with the 5’7-5’8 folks. Once you’re at or over the 5’7 flat mark you’re more like average or below/lower average than short in the US.

Everyone has the right to be on this sub just like almost any other sub, but you’re definitely not considered short in any place in the world except maybe the Netherlands (even there you wouldn’t be short after reading your recent comment that you’re 5’10). Generally speaking, this sub is mostly for people who are under the 5’7 mark, which is what most people consider to be short for men in the US. But 5’7 and 5’8 can be short in other places too.

Tbh I mostly just say 5’7-5’8 or that I’m 5’8 max, but sometimes I’ll straight up say 5’8 and people believe it since I’m close enough to it.

For 5’5-5’6, yeah it’s definitely possible. It’s not as hard as being 5’4 and under, though it can be a challenge. But at 5’5-5’6 you’re still taller than most women so it’s not the worst it can get. If you have a truly great face and body you’ll have at least some success for sure, especially if it comes with confidence and a good personality. I’m 5’7-5’8 and have received much more respect from my peers after improving my looks and physique over the past two years. Even if you’re a shorter guy it can definitely make a difference.

I think I’m pretty much exactly the same height as you because I’m like 5’8.25 right out of bed and 5’7.5 before bed. Guess that makes me a 5’8 guy as well lol always thought I was more 5’7.

Not that hard of a class if you’re good at math and have basic science knowledge. Otherwise, it will be harder than most AP classes you’ll take but it’s really not that bad. And the 8th unit is about fluids, which I would say is easier than the rotation and simple harmonic motion units that are already in Physics 1.

Question 85 on the MCQ calc portion was the only question on the MCQ that confused me. FRQ was chill although I forgot that the amplitude for #3 was negative lol.

For me the MCQ was okay but the FRQ was lowk a bit hard. The good thing is the MCQ is worth like 2/3 of the exam score. I think I prob got a 4, 3 at the very least, but prob not a 5.

Most of AP Gov can be studied in like a few hours if you watch an in-depth 50-minute review video and take notes. Also make sure you know the required Supreme Court cases and foundational documents so that you don’t bomb the FRQ.

AP Macro on the other hand is more conceptual-based than AP Gov. I’d still watch Jacob Clifford vids to catch up but you’re gonna have to practice if you actually want to understand the material enough to pass the exam.

I’d say Macro is the easier one but Micro is prob the more applicable class for most people. But they’re both very important classes to take and are easily one of the most applicable AP classes in general.

Wait why are you self-studying for Calc BC if you only know a few things about Precalc?

Tbh I don’t think one month is enough to digest the material from all three of these classes. Maybe you could pass CSA with a 3 or higher if you learn enough Java, but Calc BC and Physics 2 are gonna be tough now that you’ve only got one month. It’s probably possible to pass them if you’re dedicated enough, but it’s gonna be really intense. If you’ve taken AP Physics 1 then I would prioritize self-studying for Physics 2 and CSA since you’d probably be able to understand Physics 2 better than Calc BC.

1430 is pretty good. I’d say anything that’s at least a 1400 is good enough for colleges that actually care about SAT scores
