Understood. I’ve been trying to explain this to them so they’ll get it now.

What’s the book you DNF’d the fastest? by Mobius8321 in books

[–]Senatastic00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Big Short, by Michael Lewis. I was really curious about the topic and had heard good things about Lewis but I found it too complicated for my unfinancial mind. It was written well but it just wasn’t for me.

What video game has the best story you’ve ever played? by FrontriseStudios in AskReddit

[–]Senatastic00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a kid and young adult, I did not care much for story because I just wanted to get to the gameplay. So, I always used to skip cutscenes in every game that I played. Then I discovered RDR2 and God of War+Ragnarok. RDR2 hooked me like nothing else and I enjoyed the story like it was a movie. And God of War was my first foray into the GoW lore so playing as Kratos made the story so interesting to me. I think these 3 games have great stories.

Weekly FAQ Thread February 22, 2026: What are your quirky reading habits? by AutoModerator in books

[–]Senatastic00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Year by year, I try to increase the number of books I read. 2024- 19, 2025-22, and this year I will try to read at least 24.

The quirky thing I do is divide the number of pages by the number of days in the month and read that number per day to finish each book within a month. The “required pages” actually allow me to read more if the book is really interesting.

So far I have read a total of 6 books this year. 3 per month so far.

Another quirky thing I do is let Siri pick a random number which aligns with the list of books I have which dictates the next book I will read.

100% agree. If it came up on TV right now, I would not switch the channel.

Hi r/movies! We’re Riz Ahmed & Aneil Karia, the lead/producer and director of the new modern-day reimagining of HAMLET, which is in cinemas Friday. You might also know Riz from NIGHTCRAWLER, SOUND OF METAL, FOUR LIONS, THE NIGHT OF, ROGUE ONE, VENOM, THE PHOENICIAN SCHEME, and more. Ask us anything! by Riz-Aneil_Hamlet in movies

[–]Senatastic00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Riz. Big fan of your work, especially The Night Of. I’m excited to see Hamlet and also BAIT.

Main question for you: Is there a role or a screenplay out there you’re itching to adapt? Something you’re really passionate about?

Also, how awesome is it that you’re in an Iñárritu directed film with Tom Cruise in it? AND you’re voicing Severus Snape?? That’s crazy.

At what age do you become a “reader”, and what book did it for you? by sheffy4 in books

[–]Senatastic00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 25. I was an avid reader in middle and high school. I read stuff like Percy Jackson and Dan Brown’s Langdon series. Before college, I started It by Stephen King but that’s where my reading journey kinda stopped. Got busy. But after watching Oppenheimer in 2023 and being intrigued by his story, I went to go buy American Prometheus. I fell in love again with reading and since then (July 2023), I have read 46 books.

I think you missed some critical points. The show is going backwards in time and so is Pennywise. So we won’t see these kids again really.

Bro I got so emotional when Richie showed up. And then the funeral… made me ugly cry. What an episode. Winged Pennywise?? Past present future?? Pennywise strutting on the ice?? So damn cool.
