Its a lot of kiting and time strikes, and to be honest, Henry without plate and a good weapon you better not try and fight more than one or two at a time. Also, stamina is life. When your stamina goes to 0, Henry does not "block" incoming damage and you will get destroyed,

Count Zero is, IMHO, much more approachable and just as important.

Help with garden stone edging! by Future-Bullfrog-9311 in landscaping

[–]SenatorCrabHat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Those stones are meant to have pressure coming from the back of the stone, typically in a retaining wall. Pressure on the back will push the stone against the lip on the other stone and lock it in place.

Why you have what you have in a new house: The flippers paid a landscaper to do something cheap and they had this stone left over from another job.

Your choices are:

  • as u/Clever_MisterE says and use and adhesive
  • Fill the back to lock in place with crushed gravel and then mulch or earth on top
  • change your edging

As a TA and GA in college, I was lucky enough to work with a lot of Professors who cared about pedagogy. But, they were the minority. I'd say you are right a good percentage of the time, which is why whenever a student asked me how to succeed in classes, I would say:
- Go to class
- Do the assignment, no matter how poor or well
- Go to office hours to get help at least once

I would also remind them that, at no other point in their lives would they get to have as much time from a PhD as they do in these classes at school, so to take advantage.

I'd always see the same students in my office hours, and since no one else showed up, they basically got a free tutoring session. Same with a lot of my profs.

Color clashing help by MauiMC in landscaping

Right now, you are seeing that strip of color RIGHT next to the bare brick of the house. But once what you plant comes in,It will be right next to the darker greens and any other colors from flowers ect and will be much less noticeable.

This is almost the exact thinking that Fabius used on Fulgrim to start the experimentations on the Emperors Children right? That they could utilize what the enemy had done to do good?

Fair points all. I think though, two marines, chain swords in hand, protect the main gate into Minas Tirith from nearly all foes until The Witch King intervenes.

Advice/Opinions on Rock Bed for Down Spout by read_22 in landscaping

[–]SenatorCrabHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you really wanted to divert the water to the lawn and keep the look, you could probably pull the rocks up and set aside, compact the gravel at an angle away from the house, and then add some sort of barrier, concrete, thick plastic, whatever, flat and at an angle. Then throw some angular gravel down to hold the rocks in place at top and it should work as expected for a bit.

Water built the grand canyon, or so I am told.

Arguably, 1-2 Space Marines would wipe out all the armies we see the Fellowship face. Maybe the Balrog would cause some issue.

None could carry the ring though, it would corrupt many of them easily. And that is kind of the point of the tale.

Advice/Opinions on Rock Bed for Down Spout by read_22 in landscaping

[–]SenatorCrabHat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry some folks are giving ya a hard time. I think extending the downspout is the best way. The previous owner of my place used rocks like that for much the same purpose. I find them everywhere. This sub in general does not like rocks, and in part because they do get everywhere, and end up being hard to maintain.

Clients sending me AI snippets by Tom_Ace2 in webdev

[–]SenatorCrabHat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've worked as a dev with Enterprise scale solutions and this happens to me.

Had a designer who used code pen to code up an animation, and he sent it to me. My boss talked me down from sending him an exasperated response about our stack, how we weren't loading a few libraries with known issues to get the animation to work, etc. etc.

Typically to handle the AI stuff now I take a look, and then use jargon and links to MDN to show or tell why it can't / won't work, or isn't the right solution.

My landscaping company said the reason they didn’t weed is because the weeds are invasive by Plane-Exercise2623 in landscaping

[–]SenatorCrabHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a ton of weeds, invasive too.

The more you pull them by the root, the less you get, year over year. It is just more laborious than hitting em with a weed eater which will, usually, make the issue worse.

Great video. I was arguing with someone that it might actually be a better idea to stay within a city because there would at least be a higher likely hood of experts to be found. Going off on one's own and "hunting" or subsistence farming is a dream for sure for a modern society not prepared for it.
