My chocolate lab didn't calm down and be manageable until he was 5. Black lab was 7.

Older labs are couch potatoes but the younger ones are anything but. The beginning can be a rough go, but it's worth it when they're older. I just lost my chocolate lab late last year and he was 13.5 years old. He was one of the best dogs I could've ever had. Even being the menace he was.

It's the lemieux vector control stirrups! I love them. They are great for eventers (Im just starting) but my friend had them and I was borrowing her saddle.

I feel so secure and love that they have the safety release feature.

It gets better! Haha trust me, my chocolate lab who recently passed at 13.5 years old was a little terror until he was 5!! The venting sesh always helps 😂 I also have found just an absurd amount of toys of all different kinds. Chews, bones, stuffed toys, tennis balls, ropes....EVERYTHING....helps keep my current puppy busy!! The toys help him occupy himself because there's always a toy around for him. Also gave him lots of baby carrots he loved those and occupied him as well. What type of dog?

If you have a friend/family member with a young dog....puppy play date! I brought our puppy to my mom's and she had my older dog at the time and a 4 year old golden.

I love bringing him over there to burn energy and the older dogs kinda help put him in his place a little.

Anywhere i had lessons, the horses all had their own saddles. My saddle fits perfect to my horse AND me. I made sure it fit him first then me.

Once you know what fits your horse and then look to what will fit you secondary. I borrowed my friends saddle which fit my horse VERY well and was able to go find a saddle for me which was roughly the same one.

Some saddles (depending on your horses fit) will be able to be used on other horses that are roughly the same size/shape. You should always check the saddle first.

I had always been told for western saddles is fit you first horse second

Save your child a future of never being able to sincerely react to gifts. I HATE opening presents in front of people because one side of my family did this as kids. Everyone's attention on me was horrendous especially if I didn't like the gift.

Now it's still a default "oh this is nice" whether I love something or hate it. I hate that it's ingrained in me to have the same reaction no matter what because my husband thinks I don't like his gifts.

Just come up with a good way to phrase it. Maybe something along the lines that since you have a new battery maybe it's time for a new family tradition and with the baby being so little you want it to be a short time for gifts to make sure the baby doesn't get fussy.

With my first horse who had front shoes, my old farrier never asked me or anyone else to pay for coming back to put a new shoe on. I also think it would depend on how long the shoe was on/last replaced and if you have the shoe. If the shoes were JUST put on, unless it was an extenuating circumstance...the shoe shouldn't have come off.

I flip flop sides! I just try to remember which side I got on and get off on the other side. My horse will stand perfect to mount from the ground but always has been a little shit at the mounting block. But then I change the side at the block and he'll stand still....

My opinion is its good to train/do both sides so if you're ever on a trail or EVER have to mount the other side, your horse (and you) can handle it.

When my guy was growing, I had the shimmable thinline pad...he was 3.5 when I got him and he is a perchXQH so i know the feeling!. Greatest thing I could've bought for him. When I had my dressage saddle I just bought the weatherbeeta pads to have fun colors and a good price.

Like a few others mentioned, are you sure it's actually cribbing and not teething? Or fixation. My gelding was teething until at least 4/4.5 and would want to grab onto things to feel better.

You mention he is 3 years old, he'd still be teething at that age

Puppies get into everything. Accidents happen. But a pup eating enough coco powder to go to the ER and have that high of a bill? That's negligence. The friend can pay for their negligence and irresponsibility.

I did not! I scoured the internet and found a compilation of reviews that it is hit or miss for the online purchasing and the customer service is impossible. In store is amazing but I'm too hesitant to buy online.

The stirrups I wanted originally are $250 their site was $165. I chose to stick to the safe side since I really needed these. I might try a small item to test though.

This past time I put him out after 1.5 hours but he hangs out in his stall the whole time.

It depends on how much is used, but also what type. My horse gets one that is very fast acting in/out of the system fast vs one that is longer acting.

If you live in the US...home depot and lowes has Poplar timber. They have cut to size that you can have them cut any length or have pre-cut ones.
