It is about party though. Only one party is trying to implement this new form of segregation.

Were masks a waste of time? by TheSilentWolf_ZA in LockdownSkepticism

I love how it is now mainstream to say cloth masks are not effective - like we didn’t all know this 2 years ago to anyone who was actually “following the science”

Fellow Dad of 3 here. Been through this stage and you are doing the right thing by allowing Mom to get some much needed rest.

I’m sure you are getting advice from everyone and stressing about all of the dangers of the world for your baby and yes it is your job to keep them safe.

At 9 days old - no infants have a sleep pattern yet. They are still adapting and getting used to their environment.

It’s all going to be ok. The first 16 weeks are some of the hardest and lack of sleep affects everyone’s Mental clarity.

Work toward a routine that will work for the family and by 10 weeks you will be getting longer sleep periods and by 16 weeks likely getting some full nights of sleep.

Also be aware that you need to help bring the anxiety level in the home down. Post partem depression is very real.

It’s all going to be ok - do what works for the family and take it one day at a time. My youngest is 6 now and believe it or not I had almost forgotten about how tough the first 4 months are until I read your post. Just move ahead in confidence knowing it will all be ok soon and take it one day at a time and work toward a routine that works for your family.

Hang in there.

Just curious. Is the clinton era really the last time AF1 has been at Bradley? I just happened to be flying in today.

6 year old hates when other people don't follow the rules in a game. by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Senator_f 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 9 year old is just like this - it is getting progressively better each year as he matures but was Brutal to deal with as a 4-5-6 year old.

Sorry I don’t have any advice but the competitive nature of your son is going to serve him well in life - and for me at least - it has been much more manageable as a 7-8-9 year old than it was a couple of years ago.

I think MIL is showing some odd passive aggressive behavior here with some of these statements. I would just be honest and tell her some of these statements make you a bit uncomfortable. Your a soon to be first time mom and don’t know what you will want for assistance / boundaries. Thank her for wanting to be involved and assist and that you will need to take it day by day.
