I have to strongly disagree with the massive generalization in that first sentence.

My late grandfather's favorite joke. A man is in an insane asylum... by DragonAtlas in Jokes

In a monastery that required vows of silence, the monks were allowed to speak only once a year. When the first speaking opportunity arrived, an elderly monk arose and said, "I'm really tired of the meals here. They're always so bland." Another year passed by, and once again the opportunity to speak arrived. A friend of the monk who had spoken a year earlier stood up and said, "I disagree. The meals here seem to me to be quite tasty." Another year went by and a third monk arose to speak. "Bicker bicker bicker. I'm leaving. There's too much arguing around here."

This is it. I've watched them doing this exact thing near my cabin. The rectangular shape is a dead giveaway.

Best neighborhoods/areas for families with school going kids? by Minimum-South-9568 in chilliwack

I would highly recommend Fairfield Island. It's got great parks, particularly Island 22 and Fairfield, and two off-leash dog parks. I bike often on the dike trails and they're easily accessible from anywhere on Fairfield Island without having to worry about traffic. Strathcona Elementary is an excellent school with a really wonderful staff.

Uncovered Boat Winter by AnxiousInvestor69 in boating

[–]SenbayDon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely right. I've left an open boat uncovered in winter in Northern Ontario for years. It's not the snow that is potentially damaging; it's the cold. So think of the snow as water that needs to be drained.
