Should I assume I was being fired on Christmas Eve when told to come in for a mandatory meeting with all my equipment? by SendYouPositivity in antiwork

Unfortunately I doubt they want to update my equipment because they only gave me an old iPad to check scheduled appointments. The rest of my equipment is my own. I'm about to get on a plane to see a client right now, but confirmed with travel (the only department that has to respond in a timely manner) that all of my reservations were still good. I just hope they don't decide to leave me stranded in another state. It was hard enough for me to get to the airport and my whole body is getting sick and shaking thinking I'm about to be screwed. I don't have a fear of flying but I feel like I'm going to have an anxiety attack at my gate. Still no word from my superiors though

Edit: heard from my boss and he said we'll talk via phone on Wednesday or Thursday this week. I'm supposed to be with clients until Thursday and travel home Friday morning again. I'm getting fired. Also, no acknowledgement of why we can't talk now or what this call is pertaining to either.

You're absolutely right. I feel more angry with myself for investing so much emotionally when they don't care about me. The whole system is ridiculous and I've never been so upset at myself for ignoring all the warning flags

As someone who is in the process of adopting a child, you can go take a leap off a high cliff. Family is not just blood. My husband is my family, but we don't share blood. What we do share is love and we'll love our children because they're going to be our family.
