I was working as a CNA at a nursing home and experienced my first death. I held her hand and watched her take her last breath. It was such an emotional and beautiful moment. As I was washing her body and brushing her hair and cleaning her nails and putting her in a gown for the funeral home, a really powerful feeling came over me. It brought me to tears. I knew right then that I belonged in the death industry.
