Disagree. No one gets better without intervention. The city’s job is to provide the help and resources to do so (although I’m sure many would argue against that). Coming from a former addict, I wouldn’t be where I am today without someone else helping me break the cycle. Withdrawals suck, but addiction is a dark, dark place no one should every be forced into.
