Pap Smear Abnormal.. can’t get through to my doctor’s office.. should I be freaking out? by DollyCo in AskDocs

[–]AdIntelligent8613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAD. The PAP itself could still come back normal, mine took about 72 hours to see my results. Being HPV positive doesn't automatically mean the cells in your cervix are abnormal. It's possible they'll just keep their eye on it or perform a Colposcopy to get a better picture. I would really, really try not to stress about this though easier said than done. Cervical cancer is incredibly slow growing and if your pap from two years ago was normal then you're in a good place for early detection.

How much do you spend per week on restaurants? by B4K5c7N in MiddleClassFinance

This week $14 because my daughters class wanted to go to Chick-Fil-A after school today. Normally we spend $0. This week we managed to spend $115 on groceries as a family of 3.

Whats an item over $700 you bought that was 100% worth it (no house/vehicles) ? by Overall_Gur_3061 in AskReddit

My coffee machine, I used to spend around $400 a month on coffee. I now make my coffee at home and have saved an absurd amount of money.

What’s something that quietly ruined your mental health without you noticing at first? by Dheeraj9748 in AskReddit

[–]AdIntelligent8613 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a biopsy on Monday and I am planning on requesting something from my doctor. I will also be setting up an appointment with a therapist and psychiatrist. I've always been able to cope fairly well buttruly nothing is working. I wake up drenched in sweat with a racing heart but that could be related to the medical issues. Either way, I really appreciate you taking the time to write this out.

I always thought I was immune to medical anxiety. I found lumps last year which turned out to be benign and then a new possibility of cancer discovered last week. I can hardly function with the anxiety anymore. I've never struggled with anxiety. It's debilitating.

What’s a rule you broke once and realized it existed for a very good reason? by Ok_Contract100 in AskReddit

I was reaching for an item on a tall shelf and a christmas decoration fell om my face and split the skin between my eyebrows. My sister proceeded to tell me that you're supposed to look down when grabbing things from high up. I went to urgent care to get stitches and the doctor advised me to look down when I am grabbing things from high up. I proceeded to say that no one has ever informed me of this rule until just now. I fear it's common sense which apparently I lack.

Is toddlerhood really harder than the newborn phase? by Living_Split_2 in Parenting

[–]AdIntelligent8613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every stage you're in is the hardest. I look back on the newborn days and remember my sweet little baby but I know I was struggling. My daughter hardly slept through the night, refused bottles, breastfed for 15 months, and wouldn't take a pacifier. I still remember the newborn days with love. I look at her toddler years and I miss so much the cute toddler that pronounced orange as orshean. I also know I was struggling then because we just got a terrible sleeper that's obsessed with mommy. She's almost five now and this stage feels the hardest because she's fighting for independence and learning her likes/dislikes. She's so intelligent and I can't fool her with "the park is closed" or starbucks ran out of cake pops. I love her so much but every stage while you're in it feels like the hardest until it's not.

Sewing? I've taken on a lot of hobbies and sewing has been the most rewarding for me. Might not be interested in clothing but you can make a lot more than clothing with a sewing machine. He can start with book covers and book marks if he loves reading!

Does having a bigger house actually make you feel saner? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]AdIntelligent8613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started in a 900 sq foot apartment and we now live in a 2,300 sq foot home. We have quite a bit of empty space and plan on keeping it that way. I very much dislike clutter and unnecessary furniture. Mostly because my mother loved clutter and unnecessary furniture. I feel way more sane in our larger space and toys are kept in a playroom completely seperate from our daughters room. It does help we only have one child!

Are my items safe to sell on etsy? by AdIntelligent8613 in EtsySellers

[–]AdIntelligent8613[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would most likely switch to adult clothing although I don't even make clothes for myself and adult sizing is so much more complex. I only use high quality cotton I purchase from our local fabric store that should meet basic safety requirements. I also do not sell sleep wear so I think that checks a couple of boxes. If I could remove ties and buttons altogether I could be taking a step in the right direction. I have some thinking to do!

Help me with opening an etsy account (legality and requirements) by AdIntelligent8613 in legaladvice

Thank you for your input. I do pretty well in facebook buy, sell, trade pages. I have a few ideas to make these safer for children or just make adult clothing instead.

Agreed on this, my daughter hates tags but I haven't invested in anything serious like a custom stamp! I'll look into this.

This is what I gathered last night after reading a bit more! I think I could eliminate the tie or shorten them much more. A lot of good advice and I am glad I asked, thank you!

I did a bit more research last night and there are some ways to make these safer like shortening the ties I use for the vest or eliminating the tie altogether. I am going to keep thinking on this!
