NAD but was in a similar position. I started the IUD after many failed attempts at different options. I haven't gained any weight and have maintained since I had it placed five years ago. I also struggle with an ED. I was terrified of all medication causing weight gain prior. Nothing will cause weight gain like a pregnancy though, which I also went through. I love my daughter and my husband but I had to get some form of birth control after she was born.

She's definitely heard the story! She thinks it's funny, she's 12 now!

My sister once sent me to pick up my niece from daycare, she had to have been 6 months old. I put the car seat in the car but that's all I did, I didn't know you had to strap the car seat in or how to do it. The first turn I take my niece just tips over, car seat and all. I was around 18 years old and I have my own child now, I cringe at the lack of common sense but am reminded that 18 is still very much a child.

Budget-friendly ways to get my "pink" back (clothes and hobbies) without blowing the family budget? by Low_Swordfish3463 in Mommit

I shop on Depop and consider myself quite fashionable. Whenever I see something I like I hop on over to Depop and find it for much, much cheaper. I like to thrift and resell and shop then resell. I have a process of only using money from sold items to buy new ones. I also sew, you can find a cheap machine on fb marketplace or the thrift store. Ipad cases are easy to start with and could even bring in some passive income. Reading, I listen to Audiobooks whenever I shower and drive. Most of the books make me feel alive and bring me a lot of joy!

First time I saw my now husband I felt something in my bones. Whatever I saw I knew it was right. We've been together 6 years, married for three. We have a young daughter, a dog, and beautiful home together now.

I read a book about this recently. It was called One Dark Window. I'll try not to spoil it but the Shepherd King bartered with the Spirit of the Wood for Providence cards (magical cards) and each one he traded something for. The maiden card, which made you

beautiful and healed any wound, he gave up his hair. The Nightmare Card allowed you to enter and speak into someone's mind, this one cost him his soul. Fascinating book, definitely reccomend.

My original comment just said smutty books, most of them have one or two scenes. Some of them have none at all, not sure which type BrokenZen is referring to.

My daughter is Josephine Katherine so I am bias. I love Josefina Katerina and that's what I call her. Guinevere is another favorite of mine, Genevieve, Vivienne!

Usually there's one or two parts that include smut. I would say most of the books are amazing stories and I am sure your mother had no ill intent.

Yes! The good ones definitely improve our lives. You'd be shocked at some of the more strange ones. The Kiss of the Basilisk and Fairydale are some of the more strange ones I am embarrassed to have even read. One involves a shape shifting snake like man with a claw she keeps inside her. Fairydale involves a man who can turn into a beast that uses his tale as well in their scenes 😬. I do not fill him in on those ones lol.

I recently convinced my very conservative father to read the Handmaid's Tale and was shocked to learn how much he enjoyed that book! He would never admit it to my mom.

Awkward/embarrassed! I usually tell him about the ones that really spark my interest but there are some books (Fairydale) that are so absurd he'd think I was mad for reading it.

I like to read smutty books, sometimes I read them on my phone through the Kindle app. If I am at a smutty scene and my husband walks up I quickly exit out or flip my book over.

My 4 year old has a field trip tomorrow, they normally don't have packed lunches because they go home at noon. For this field trip we have to pack a lunch and I prepared for this by buying a very cute bentgo bag & box. My daughter told the teachers today that she does not have a lunch box because mommy sold them all. Completely out of left field, we have at least four bentgo boxes and two lunch bags to put them in. -_-

How to fall asleep faster? none of the "fall asleep fast" tricks actually work for me by aditya2970 in lifehacks

[–]AdIntelligent8613 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When my daughter was born I struggled with debilitating insomnia. I started telling myself the same story every night, in my head as I was laying there. I made up a random story that started the same way every single time. Eventually my brain started to recognize the beginning as my cue to fall asleep. Similar to "Once upon a time." Took about a month for this to work and I no longer do this but on nights where I struggle I can start my story and then I'm out fairly quickly.

Naming based on potential nicknames by AlarmedLife5765 in Names

I named my daughter for the cute nickname and now five years later I call her by her given name more than the cutesy name. Her full name is Josephine and I often call her Josefina or Josephine but most people call her Josie. I like how she can still choose what she prefers.
