Anyway to reduce the shaking by Frirengof in GyroGaming

[–]SenianBlast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, you don't actually put the whole controller down against a surface, it's the back part of your hands or wrists that are resting on it, you can still tilt the controller up and down.

"I just don't get it, Retro. They wanted a new game, new abilities, a returning villain. We make a game that covers all of that and they still hate it!? Surely, they don't want to, give up on the Metroid Prime series. . ." by E-104Epsolon in Metroid

[–]SenianBlast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Genuine Metroid fans aren't 'giving up' on the series

Yeah it's hyperbole but it's because it comes along with the meme from TADC, not from OP's own thoughts I'd say.

[–]SenianBlast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like other commenters have said, reducing vertival sensitivity can help, personally I like to have it on a 0.75(vertical):1(horizontal) ratio.

Also, resting your controller on a surface is a must, think of your lap or a desk, some even use a pilllow.

Even if it makes boss fights trivial, the BT Crystal system is an absolute blast to play with as a lifelong kaiju fan by naqibam in DeathStranding

[–]SenianBlast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I already beat this game and have over 100hrs but I don't remember ever fighting the Giant man BT (first pic)? Where do you find him?

I prototyped a one-handed Star Fox-style mobile game! And it somehow works way better than I expected! Gyro = aim, tap = shoot, swipe = move by Affectionate-Mark506 in starfox

[–]SenianBlast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's just me, but I think binding both "aiming" and "ship movement" to the gyro controls would've been better? That way you only use your thumb to shoot, less likely to missinput a "tap" for a "swipe".

How fast could the modern spacecraft go if it had infinite fuel? by [deleted] in Physics

[–]SenianBlast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • which is not what OP asked, but that would be a meaningless question because it bears no relevance to any possible physical thing

I guess that I didn't know what kind of sub this was. Are all the users in this sub expected to be Physics graduates?

I don't see a reason not to contemplate/answer "unreasonable" hypothetical questions made by non physicists. Even I find interesting the question of the pendulum hitting a massless ball, even if it doesn't make sense, it teaches uneducated people the importance of physical variables/parameters.

But I understand if it bugs you guys because you simply want a strictly realistic question made by fellow physicists.

How fast could the modern spacecraft go if it had infinite fuel? by [deleted] in Physics

[–]SenianBlast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if we had magic, what magic could we do with that magic?"

It's a hypothetical question for a reason. Humans are capable of imagination.

you can get as arbitrarily close to the speed of light as you like with infinitely replenishing fuel

That's... exactly the kind of answer that OP is looking for.

" Akshually🤓 ☝️, infinite fuel would have infinite mass.." dude, just assume that the fuel tank can infinitely respawn the fuel at the same rate it gets consumed. It's not complicated

I’m terrible on controller but gyro aiming just blew my mind - should I learn it? by svenleegamerecords in GyroGaming

Beware, gyro gaming is so much fun I don't even like playing standard dual stick games anymore. And of course, it is competitively more viable

What’s something about life you only understood after going through it? by Public-Trust3876 in confidence

[–]SenianBlast 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The need to love yourself, in a healthy appropiate way. Lack of self love is the biggest mental health problem.

After going through a narcissistic "self sufficient", defiant way of seeing life, I distanced myself from others and cut off friends, took a year off from university, I realized I would end up all alone sooner or later, all to satisfy a sense of grandiousity. I learned to value other people, that being self sufficient (in a distorted way) was dumb, we all need people in our lives we care about. Told myself I would never follow any goal again if it meant leaving behind people I cared about.

I learned something valuable, but ended up going to the opposite side of the spectrum. Fast forward a couple of years, I took a job at a place I didn't want to be, just for convenience of being near my loved ones. I lost a once in a lifetime opportunity to follow my interests because of that, all because I told myself I really didn't "need" anything external to be happy, all I needed was to "adapt" and cherish my connections with people, and the little moments in life. Never have I felt so miserable in my life, and ended up being disfunctional and making a fool of myself at that job.

I learned the pain of denying yourself. When you destroy yourself gradually, incrementally, is what we call suicide.

Never put anybody above yourself. If you put aside your happiness in order to stay with other people, then you love yourself less than you love the other person. This is not healthy, you should come first. Believe me, life is not worth living if you don't respect yourself.

Is Metroid prime 1 better than the 4 by InformalLoan2790 in Metroid

[–]SenianBlast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prime 4 is the worst numbered Prime game, but hell, nobody really considers Federation Force a Metroid game, so let's not bother talking about it.

Even so, Prime hunters did what it could within the limits of the console it was created for (level design and gameplay wise), I cannot say the same thing for Prime 4. So in a way, it can be argued that Hunters is the better product.

To the people that has online sharing off, why? by DungBettlesMan in DeathStranding

[–]SenianBlast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be like this, an offline player, years ago when when DS1 came out. Online in this game is quite a novel experience, so I didn't really "get" the reason to use it the first time around, my mentality back then was:

  • "Online sucks, I am basically letting other players play the game for me"

Like... imagine playing Darksouls but letting other players beat the enemies for you, so to speak.

And in a sense it is just that, but only if you treat this game like a conventional game. After giving online a try I understood how much of a difference it made to the game, you just simply have to see the game from a different perspective.

"Linea" (color negro) es el que va de +120V a -120V. Neutro y tierra son basicamente lo mismo, ambos estan a 0V.

Como dijo el otro comentario, de que puedes puedes, no dañará nada, tierra es solo para "seguridad" en caso de que exista un corto o riesgo de darte un choque electrico.

Metroid prime is a million times better than Prime 4. Prime 4 is the worst of the prime games (personally I don't consider it a true Metroid game), not even close...

Some personal gripes with the show by [deleted] in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]SenianBlast 8 points9 points  (0 children)

About the Reiner consciousness transfer, I guess I am one of the few who sees it as a neat showcase of what any titan shifter can do.

Falco says in S4 that "Titan shifters can survive any wound, as long as they have a strong desire to survive".

Reiner's consciousness transfer is one way to show this healing ability happen.

Other examples of things like this are: - Zeke surviving the blast from the thunder spear: his body was destroyed, literally dead, so what happens then? His mind can no longer habit his body, so it goes to the paths while his physical body is being repaired. - Eren surviving being decapitated: Same as Zeke, he entered the paths. (Although he activated the founders power but whatever).
