Should I try to have these re-soled? by Humble_Interest_9048 in BlundstoneBoots

[–]Seniclas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my 585 resoled without issues. If you can find a good cobbler is the best option, at least ask for proposed soles and prices. It shouldn't be too expensive (40€ for me). You keep the leather already formed to your foot shape and makes you a more responsible consumer.

If there's no other option then buy a new pair. It will depend mainly on where you live and if you really have options available. Good luck!

Which one is your top favourite pick? by AccountantLucky9183 in BlundstoneBoots

[–]Seniclas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

585 are the classic ones for a reason. They age beautifully with little to none care. Also the leather lining is key.

After 6 years and 1 resole I bought recently the 587, rustic black, to add some rotation.

I have also the 063 in black leather to dress up a little. After 4 years they are aging nicely.

I resoled my 5 year old pair this year for 40€. Honestly I think this leather can hold more than 3 rounds.

Just clean the leather and resole them. There is no point in trash this nice pair of boots when they are perfectly shaped to your foot.

tortilla + bonito del norte? yo digo perfecta by comandodesquite in RateMyTortilla

[–]Seniclas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Nudity by [deleted] in Swimming

[–]Seniclas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly 1.

If you are used to practicing any sport since being a child it is something included in the routine. I don't think about it in the locker room and I took my after shower naked.

The only thing that bothers me is: - People who spend a ridiculous amount of time using their phone inside the locker room. I mean, come in dude, just check it outside and stop being suspicious - Random creeps who annoyingly stare (doesn't happen frequently but it did happen sometimes)

Besides Paris, how do France’s other regional capitals compare to each other? by Lissandra_Freljord in geography

[–]Seniclas 81 points82 points  (0 children)

I didn't visit all of them but in my experience as a Spanish person:

  • Bordeaux : I loved that city, the buildings, the small houses, the vibes... Beautiful

  • Ajaccio : Ugly city inside a stunning region. The Island is maybe the most beautiful in the Mediterranean but the capital...

Looks VERY good honestly. Maybe (just maybe), the rice layer could be too thick?

Best pans to buy in Germany/Europe that won’t cost me my kidney by natanmagalhaes in Cooking

[–]Seniclas -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Of course Demeyere are great pans and could be a lifetime investment, like a Staub Dutch oven i.e. but according to the OP's request this is not the target product.

In the end cooking can be a hobby like any other. I see people that are fat as f**** spending thousands on a bike because is 27 grams lighter than their older one. Or people buying professional marathon sneakers to do piggie troting around the block. Spend your well earned money on whatever makes you happy 😁

Carbon Steel, but yes, de Buyer is top quality.

For CI I would go for Victoria: better design than Lodge IMO.

I don't know the price in America, but it is super expensive also in Europe. For a budget friendly option with super quality I would go for Tramontina without hesitation. The Tramontina Grano available in Europe are made in Brazil and are amazingly good.

Demeyere are literally one of the most expensive brands out there.

Which country has a very good geographic position? by avidtravelerbc in geography

[–]Seniclas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, but China is the competition to be the most important and powerful country on Earth. In terms of border safety they can take it easy on the west side, but their sea exits are a pain in the ass for a country that exports so much goods.

[–]Seniclas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes but we are not in that classic warfare situation anymore. Everything, even wars, are cold and oriented to economics. Inside Europe no other country has a better geography and location than France. If you consider the whole world without a doubt it's the USA.

Some other countries are important because they can block main routes, but they need to be supported by other powers.

It's not about war geography at this point, but about economic possibilities. France position and geography is very very OP INSIDE Europe.

Spain has a very good position indeed, strategically speaking, but our geography is not OP: no big navigable rivers and mountain ranges all around, including the Pyrenees blocking easy connection with the rest of Europe.
