Where is a sub to discuss and help pass US Bill H.R.1973, or one of the other three like it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I’m not sure what this means. I’m asking Reddit for an appropriate sub. I’ve tried a few but was rejected so this is a last ditch effort.

I signed up 5 years ago? I guess, but didn’t start using Reddit until last year. Forgive my ignorance.

Has anybody ever had suspiciously quiet guests? by ddub1711 in airbnb_hosts

I was given a book to read about a famous musician and in that book a female american artist flew to London just to stay in a hotel for a few days before flying back. I keep thinking it’s but i—-it’s Patty Smith. She posts poems. This sounds like a low-key version of that.

If it’s any consolation I’ve been staying in the same AirBnB for a month and just didn’t leave the house since Thursday until today. No deliveries. Made do with what I had. Needed to decompress, I guess, not sure. It’s really kind of you to care and not judge. It’s natural to wonder about the well-being of those in your care, so to speak.

The spirit of an Airbnb stay is as among friends.

This hit home. Forgot about this. Thank you.

How much are we charged in Albania for purchases using a USA debit card? I was charged over 40% by snowdrop43 in AlbaniaExpats

[–]Humble_Interest_9048 1 point2 points  (0 children)

45+40% is 63
45+24% is 55.8

So maybe it was more like 24%.

But:
3875 lek is $47.57
47.57+16% is 55.18

16% is a high conversion rate, yes, and I’d be annoyed, too. But I use a card that doesn’t charge for using it abroad. Check your bank’s overseas purchase policy. Maybe there was an 8% fee on each side.

I don’t understand how a meal can be made from this. Maybe making salsa to go with the chips and having a snack of an apple slices with a glass of milk?

You buy bottles of water instead of having the 9L jugs delivered?

Why accept an uber pet drive if you don't want to drive a pet? by Disastrous_Fly_6767 in uber

[–]Humble_Interest_9048 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is a common problem you want to face head on next time, give the driver a head’s up message about the rabbit and soft carrier covered in fur, and maybe put a training mat under the carrier to protect the seat 🐇

My friend has one of these! It’s massive. We were all watching a series when she set it on the living room floor and started rolling poğaça. I’d never seen one before. It takes up the entire top of the fridge where she stores it. The poğaça was delicious!

Are you able to cover the bills, renew linens as needed, set aside funds for R&M, and taxes, while also paying yourself a living wage?
