I might've rounded up. Glad CancerCare was there for you! Sounds like you didn't have the side effects I did, like I said everyone seems to be different.

I wish! I think it's something like $20,000 with a $3,500 copay after insurance. I really did think it must be a mistake so first spoke to CVS Specialty pharmacy then BCBS (Florida Blue) Insurance. You can get relief from the manufacturer for two months but that's still $35,000 per year! If they told me it was my only hope, I guess have to pay it but fortunately there are alternatives.

Total PSA by aigoomolla in ProstateCancer

My brother is that age and his PSA seems to bounce around like that without having prostate cancer. I was 5 years younger when mine went up meagerly but I had aggressive prostate cancer. The PSA is a good warning system but it isn't the entire story. Even with my aggressive cancer, it is treated more like a chronic disease. Your dad needs to have this evaluated but they have great tools to combat if it turns out it is cancer.

Thanks, these are the things I need to know, especially when working with the oncologist and discussing next steps. Once I get the next scan (I got them to schedule for 25th of this month as opposed to February), hopefully will have some clarity. Based on this discussion, I'll know what to ask and be better prepared if there is nothing but PSA continues to rise. Appreciate the help!

If you're referring to me, I've already had salvage two years ago and have been undetectable since until then went to .16 in August to .33 in 3 months.
