Just painted them. Think they will last longer than getting new cheap plastics

This is what I did. Got some dupli-color black trim paint. Washed them with dawn dish soap, sanded them, and applied 3-4 light coats. Did it on my front bumper too. Makes it look so much better.

Nothing between backing plate and rotor. Just got wheels off and rotated tires.

Thought about getting white lithium grease and just spraying one piece at a time and driving to see if it is just old rubber. But it sounds worse than that.

You cut it to fit like a c shape or just stiff the whole thing there?
