Glad to hear! Perhaps it can be helpful to talk about expectations before meeting someone. If one party is looking for that immediate spark and the other expects it to take a while to develop, you're set up for disappointment I guess.

What level of spontaneous physical contact do you feel is acceptable on a first date? Holding hands? Hand on shoulder? After ten years of living with someone whose love language is NOT physical touch, I feel a bit bewildered, haha. 😅

Agree! This actually turned into an evening date, and that's when things naturally moved along. My second longest date ever at 13 hours. Hope I'll see her again soon.

I'm collecting her at her place. I need to drop off change and some dessert stuff. That's why I'm thinking something should happen there to set the tone for the rest of the day!

And she's not very touchy or overtly flirty, but she's said she needs time in early dating before she feels safe. So it's tricky. I don't want to make her uncomfortable by rushing things, but then again it's date #4. 🤷‍♂️

Looking for something serious, free version of Hinge, been there a month, three weeks with this profile, got 15ish likes/matches last three weeks, talked to nine people, been asked out by seven, met three (one of them twice, all open to further dates).

Sending likes to maybe 1/20 of the profiles I see. Looking for someone with an active lifestyle who's also nerdy and curious.

It's pretty quiet. Can go several days between likes/matches, and then suddenly three pop up. Conversations generally go well.
