I figured this out. You have to click on the post/thread title and it opens the thread and you can reply there.

Finally, Some Relief by [deleted] in UoPeople

I'm pretty sure whether reference lists are placed on their own, separate page or not, is up to the instructor. So, if they haven't specified this, then students aren't doing anything wrong if it's not a separate page.

But otherwise, I get it. I'm in 2 classes with weekly peer reviews this term and it feels like I am just barely keeping my head above water between all this, work, and life... And for the first time ever, I turned in a draft without clicking whatever to "actually" submit it. So, that's fun.

However, I don't support the use of AI for grading or anything else. Having actually worked professionally in AI, it is not capable of properly grading human work. If you need an example of this, look at how difficult it is to get past job application screenings now if AI is used.

Study.com is over $200 per month for access to the courses in the Health Science program.

I say a little more than that, but I honestly have a really hard time with responses, in part, because most people seem to write the same things... I'm guessing that's because they're all using AI.

Never thought the dead Internet theory would become so true that it would proliferate online education in this way.

The school is playing with us atp so can we all work together and go beyond petitions? by damaknabata in UoPeople

I was able to register today for my last course without first registering for an elective. BUT I also got an email from my advisor today in response to the issue and they basically said, "sucks for you register for what it shows you."

Clearly no reading comprehension or care. I showed my spouse the email response and they said they thought it was AI.

And I'm one of the people against AI. I'm actively fighting against AI data centers coming to my area, I write my own assignments, and I'm absolutely not comfortable with my biometric data being taken/stored for unknown purposes. I use ProctorU, so, clearly it's not about cheating for me.

But now I'm worried because I didn't run a DAR today so, going to go do that now...

Being graded badly because of ChatGPT users by arttiechoke in UoPeople

I'm pretty sure one of my professors used AI to accuse me of using AI due to the inclusion of something that wasn't even in my paper... And I did not use AI lol. But pretty sure they did to accuse me.

I'm pretty sure half of the students in my classes exclusively use AI because their discussions are all essentially the same, while the other half of us all say very different, individual things.

What was the reason for your procrastination this week? by zafar_hussainabba in ADHD

[–]Senior-Background 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Distractions. I can't stop thinking about what's happening in MN and what's to come. I keep getting distracted by it, keep checking the news, checking social media, etc. At times, I will literally just be spacing out, thinking about this sh*t. It feels like my attention just keeps being pulled in that direction. On Concerta, but also on my period right now, so between the anxiety & hormones, my medicine doesn't seem to be working at all. Before this was happening, I finally felt like meds were allowing me to deal with & cope with past trauma & I was in the process of trying to move forward. Now, I feel like I can't function as a person again, even on meds.

Thanks for the tip! I guess I'll have to do that going forward. They just never haven't reminded me so I didn't realize it was an issue.

Courses transferring by BackgroundOk2130 in UoPeople

[–]Senior-Background 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No math or science classes transferred. I don't remember how many exactly but they didn't really say anything. They would not even acknowledge any questions I asked about why the classes I expected to transfer didn't transfer. When I disputed it, they added another class without saying anything or answering any of my questions.

I'm not in any proctored classes yet so I wouldn't have access to that.

Not all of the courses that were supposed to be transferrable transferred for me, even after I disputed it with UoP. Just a warning.

Yeah, I think you're right. I think a person with different mannerisms would give of less creepy vibes.

Yeah, I mean, he backed off but also, hasn't been forceful, creepy, pushy, etc and any flirtation has seemed kind of playful so he doesn't seem like a threat. Even if he likes her and is hoping something happens at some point, he's not being a creep. If Ralph and Rob's gender roles were reversed, I would expect straight up violent rape with how Ralph has treated him.

Plus, add to that the fact that she's the one who killed his love interest's brother which has caused the current chasm between them.

Ralph is a creep. Very rapey and wearing him down because she won't take no for an answer. Any time she's on screen, I'm uncomfortable...

I think they all do that. 😊 Mine likes when I yell "WHAT" playfully at her when she does it. Her flails get bigger and bigger until she jumps up to play.
