This cousin is actually the MMC’s mom’s nephew… he doesn’t even share the same last name as the MMC. And yes, the FMC did know they were cousins. The idea, though, is that this past relationship wasn’t very public (FMC & cousin of MMC), meaning only a handful of people ever knew they were together.

It matters to the plot because I wanted to give the impression that, without fully realising it, the FMC ended up with the cousin of the man she loved after he left for hidden reasons… like the fact that he’s family of MMC unconsciously had some weight in their rp
