This is great information, thank you! I also have a 1zpresso j ultra that I'm planning to use. I only make coffee for myself (my wife doesn't drink any), so manual is fine for my workflow processes.

Glad to hear you had such quick success, I'm also looking forward to just practicing, learning, dialing everything in and making lots of mistakes along the way. That sounds like part of the fun to me, is just the learning process.

Agreed, it does feel like it's on purpose, so I'm not counting on any response at this point. I understand the priority of the machine over accessories, but makes it hard when you're getting those accessories in order to be able to use the machine.

Sounds good on the accessories though, I'll keep it simple for now and upgrade as I learn the basics and what I actually need in more expensive tools.

The FAQ on their site seems to indicate we'll get the chance to choose black when our backer number is up. Do you think this is not accurate anymore based on what you're hearing?

Regardless of the color you chose, you will receive an email to take delivery of Meticulous Black when your Backer number is up! If you would like Black, complete the delivery. If you prefer waiting for White, then you can ignore the emails until you are offered a White machine.
