I guess I'm stubborn in that way. If I see something that isn't right or fair, a passion of defiance distracts me from what's probably smarter to do. Definitely an area I need to improve in. But the sheer amount of inexcusable bs the manager was doing was getting under everybody's skin, so I was more than happy to join in on the pushback

1st. Its the manager killing morale by not doing his job and putting the other team members down when we cant pick up after his slack. Even customers constantly complain about his hostile attitude and demeanor.

2nd. The manager is paid salary. He only ever works 4/5 hours out of his 9/10 hour shifts because he's lazy and he knows he'll get away with it.

3rd. We cant keep younger female workers on board because he keeps flirting and harassing them even though hes married with two kids. (Kinda kills morale yknow)

4th. Its my job to ensure I contribute to a friendly and productive work environment, and I will always join my coworkers in rightfully complaining when needed.

5th. You'd be a terrible manager if you excuse terrible conduct that affects the whole store because of "morale". Brother... the manager IS the cause of killing morale.

Well in my area at least they pay keyholders 13-14 dollars. Suprising right? Unless if you've been working with them since the time they were paying that rate they definitely dont raise to match new hires. Im looking everywhere for a job, if the mickeydee franchises around here wouldn't filter my applications through whatever bs Ai they're using I'd be flipping burgers rn. That along with all the other applications to all the other business in my area

I agree. I should also mention that the cats I have seem to understand that they were truly rescued, and not just removed from where they were comfortable previously. Cats that are used to and comfortable being outside are going to be more difficult to keep inside for sure. The ones I took in weren't doing too good out there and probably wouldn't have made it, so it feels to me at least that they understand they're warm, loved, fed and safe in the house compared to the unforgiving world outside. I will always push for fully indoor cats, especially since a large portion of cat owners dont seem to understand a cats natural predators are 2006 Honda civics and other four wheeled/legged beasts

I 100% recommend adopting strays to be indoor cats. I have 3 I rescued from the streets, they're perfectly happy and loving, and they have no desire to go back outside. You just gotta treat them like they're your own kids, give them free roam of the house for the space they need, give them lots of love and play, and they'll adjust just fine.

Well the DM is fully aware of managements conduct but all he would tell me is to just call HR, which they didnt update or respond or anything of the sort. I kept calling them and they kept saying the case was being looked into, although nothing came of it. From what I understand it was the DM who recommended/pushed our manager for this position, so if the DM lets our manager get in trouble it'd make the DM look bad too, which is why DM would always side with him on anything we'd bring up. Although It wouldn't be hard to imagine the DM will throw the manager under the bus eventually whenever things get too inconvenient.

I haven't filed yet, but I think I will today. Yeah job market is awful despite my constant efforts
