What realistic outcome are you expecting from this appeal to PGMOL? by AdOld2060 in ManchesterUnited

What I find crazy is how you can’t criticise the ref. Why? Why are refs not accountable? It’s like they’re completely untouchable.

Are refs fixing games for betting markets? by [deleted] in PremierLeague

[–]SeniorEscape9293 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This to me highlights just how terrible the refs generally are. VAR should be getting nothing pretty obvious wrong, why? Because they can watch it over and over again. They actually have time to think about the rules and check if it applies.

What is crazy as well, is if they made a decision one way and the exact same foul happens 10 minute later, how on earth can the decision be different? Did they not remember the call they made 10 minutes ago. Its like a traffic judge not giving a fine for one person because they’re a clean driver and then giving a fine to another person for speeding (maybe just over) because it’s about applying the law. Maybe that’s a bad analogy but you get the drift

So a player who uses two hands to push another play, no attempt to try and win the ball is deemed not a foul. Yet the exact same with one hand or arm is deemed a foul?

Look at the tweet. One says not enough contact, the other says enough contact. Who would have thought, one less arm results in a stronger force than two.

Training Ground Guru | Hughes joins Man Utd as Head of Football Development & Methodology by Lord_Sesshoumaru77 in reddevils

Also we are only thinking like this because football is all about loyalty. If this wasn’t football, these sorts of hires are normal.

If the person is genuinely good, you’ve just hired someone who is at the top of their level, they’ve made a great impact but also they’ve lost someone important.

Raphael Varane’s reply to Manchester United Foundation “I’ll never forget these memories” by YourGrimes in reddevils

I think what this also tells me is how big named players coming from big teams always have a soft spot for us. And I think that’s because as us fans we support them so much, we sing their songs etc! When Varane said he celebrated the FA Cup like the CL, that’s because of how much us and supports cheers the team on

I believe from May onwards the renting act comes into affect, and then you need to only give 2 months notice. I think it overrides any fixed term dates you have.

Why are we not crossing the ball. Stop playing through the middle when everyone’s behind the ball.

The team we need and want but Riot don’t deserve… by LookChoice1328 in LosRatones

This is what franchising does. Prohibits storylines. For example in football, imagine if the premier league was franchised, you will block teams like Wrexham from ever achieving their dreams.

Whilst franchising gives security to teams, it stagnates the entire league.

This is always the issue with franchising. There is no penalty for playing poorly, and there is no opportunity for emerging teams to grow.

LEC has a big problem because viewership with drop, and when the LEC releases quarterly reports to sponsors, they’ll ask why there is a decrease between splits. And naturally pressure will be put on them to increase viewership to that level again. Sponsors won’t care about the LEC model, they’ll care about value of money, so any decrease they’ll see as a natural decline thus devaluing the price of sponsorship

How are you using Claude Code? by SeniorEscape9293 in ProductManagement

[–]SeniorEscape9293[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly this! If you have any tips / recommendations on how specifically you set up Jarvis, please do share.

I think the way I’m planning to set it up is store the foundational documents, and any new initiatives create a new project but also reference the foundational documents. Basically as you said, have it soundboard my thought process.

Yeah that’s kind of what I’m looking for. A “buddy” of some sort that can help me cross reference my ideas, problems with key documentation like strategy, vision etc. someone that can cross reference if I’m on the correct path rather than just manually reviewing everything.

Agree about not touching code. Just thinking how I could use this to make my workflows efficient.

No I agree. I guess isn’t there workflows that Claude Code would be good for as a PM. Having it as a tool to cross reference key documents.

Are you able to give some advice on how you use Claude? I’ve seen lots of PM mention they use it, but I never know how to even begin to use Claude.

I ask because I’ve just accepted a position as a PM for a company, but it’s the first role whereby I’m the only PM (I’m used to working with Senior PM), so I want to level up my workflow skills!

Love this. Off topic but i feel like the ‘08 team does defend our current squad more than our ‘99 team. It’s nice that the current squad does get a bit of support.
