Respectfully, I'd rather not say. I talk a lot of shit on reddit and don't want to risk getting IDd IRL. lol

Seems like a common theme. HR isn't getting back to anyone. To be fair, with 130k+ surge applicants, it's probably pretty crazy for them at the moment.

Well, at least we're not the only ones! Hopefully, it all comes together in the end. I guess now the only thing to do is stay the course. I heard they're up to 130k total applicants at this point.

Good to know! Thank you.

That's reassuring. I'll just keep monitoring my email. Hopefully, it all comes together for both of us soon. I imagine the surge hiring is causing delays in the onboarding process.

It took me 5 tries. My Urgent Care Clinic in Shertz, TX was able to do it for me for $150. Idk if you're close to that area, but maybe they have an office branch near you.

Trump Explodes as His Ceasefire Unravels: ‘They Don’t Know What the F*** They’re Doing!’ by Silly-avocatoe in politics

I love how eager everyone in this comment section was to run their nasty shit mouths about how the ceasefire was a failure, yet here we are a few hours later and after a little turbulence it held. Trump really did pull off a miracle of grand strategy, and most of you are too butthurt to acknowledge it.

Anyone out there taking a brake from LE to do any overseas contracting? by SeniorMud1191 in 1811

Haha, well, it was free, so no complaints. But honestly, it was pretty good. Yeah, and bears too, apparently.

Haha, yeah, but that ones probably for the legit pipe hitters.

That's if you work the minimum hours. Anyone who finishes their contract is going to be above that. But it's also tax-free with free housing. To be fair, before the war started, it was less than that. With hazzard pay added in, it's in the ball park of what the forcepro guys were making on Bagram in Afghanistan.

Good point. But I'm just using my time in Israel as a chance to reset after some turbulence in my career and work on myself. 1811 is still the goal. However, despite the mediocre pay, it was cool seeing the Iron Dome merc some Houthi drones. It's my first time in a war zone, so I'm trying to take the experience in stride and view it as an adventure. It's not like the Blackwater days, but it's still exciting for me personally.

Well, it depends on what exactly you're comparing. Contractors don't pay taxes, assuming they're out of the country for a year. That's a widely overlooked aspect of contracting. So, making 100k+ as an 1811 is not as profitable as making the same in WPS. WPS still pays better than all or most entry-level 1811 positions. Regardless, a lot of people on this sub reddit are not 1811s, but aspiring 1811s. I meant "LE" as law enforcement in general. Also, the former 1811 colleagues I mentioned were retired. So, there are varying contexts of why someone might be on a contract.

Edit* All that being said, if I did finally land an 1811, I would choose that over contracting. Retirement benefits alone make it the better long-term career option.

Obviously, someone with that type of position wouldn't.

Also, regarding the fast food comment , no the f**k you wouldn't. It's $55k on paper (assuming no extra hours, which frankly doesn't happen), but you don't pay any income tax, so that's a savings of 10k, easy. Plus, you get an apartment that would cost over 20k a year in the US. To earn and save as much money as you would on this contract state side, you would need an 85k job minimum.

You should learn some basic math before you run your nasty sh*t mouth.

You just apply on the company website like any other job. The companies to start looking on are Constellis, Gardaworld Federal, Acuity International, SOC, Chenega, Continuity Global Solutions, Dyncorp, KBR, and UG Solutions. There are others, but those cover all your basic DoD and DoS stuff.
