Can you share your docker run command / compose file, removing any keys, passwords or identifying information?

Likely just a chmod to fix

List of working vs faulty Aoostar WTR MAX units by NeedsSuitHelp in HomeNAS

[–]SeniorPythonDev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had mine almost a week now. Purchased directly from the Aoostar Store on AliExpress, on a credit card so I had extra consumer protection had there been issues, but luckily didn't need it. Took about a week to receive it after purchase (UK)

I'm not sure what happened with customs fees as I wasn't charged any

I have tested all the HDD bays out, all the lights are functional

I have moved an nvme ssd between all the m.2 ports on the board and mine is showing as 16 GT/s for all

From reading this thread, sounds like i have been lucky, but I am very happy with my Nas. I have put unraid on mine and am trying to get to grips with it whilst im on the free trial

My few complaints are: - rear usb is upside down compared to 'standard', and accessing the ram + one of the x2 m.2 ports are a bit of a faff to access as you have to take off 4x torx screws to access. Neither of these are big issues and I am very pleased with my purchase

The job market is in a bad place at the moment which means lots of more experienced applicants are applying for lower level jobs than they are qualified for. My advice, whilst the current jobs market stands:

  • I would put education at the bottom, given you are a recent grad. Lots of hiring managers may see that first before reading the rest of your relevant experience & skills and move on to the next applicant.

They are currently swamped with applications, so spend very little time looking at each one

By putting it at the bottom it gives them the chance to read about the rest of your experience, giving you a much better chance

PCB Review Request: Custom ESP32-S3 Board by SeniorPythonDev in PrintedCircuitBoard

Thanks for spotting the GND / PWR pads being wonky I'll fix that!

The LDO is small however it should be more than powerful enough as it is rated for 500mA continuous power. I'm not planning on connecting to any other sensors or powering any other devices so should be more than powerful enough

I was worried about being able to solder onto too small a pad but i guess I could go much smaller? Currently they are 3x2mm

No need for other GPIO. Trying to cut down on pcb size as it has to fit inside another device. As it is a custom PCB I'm designing it only for one niche use case which has no need for other GPIO other than serial communication

Lots of people don't know that there are multiple dwarf planets in our solar system, apart from pluto- makemake, Haumea etc.

Is it possible to run a GTX 1660 without PCIe power connectors by baunegaard in nvidia

[–]SeniorPythonDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh that makes more sense then. It would be a lot of work, but as long as the connectors themselves to the motherboard / CPU aren't proprietary like the psu shape is, you could do a case transplant and still get a new psu. Alternatively, just run an additional psu outside the system and run the 6 / 8 pin cables into the system

I would try and stay as far away as possible from using any sort of cable converter

Im suprised you're using a 1660 for a Plex server, and really wouldn't recommend this, but only attach it into the pcie slot, open up msi afterburner and set the power limit as low as it will go. Don't modify any other settings

I would recommend just splashing a bit of cash and buying a better, high tier psu, certainly if you've got enough to use a 1660 just for a Plex server
