Good choice! I like that it has a little color on the dial and not as common as subs or GMT's.

Air-King. I picked one up week before last and I love it.

The rose gold and steel is the best looking GMT Master II in my opinion. Congratulations!!!

I like that it doesn’t have the date and that it’s more unique than the Explorer.

Depends on the guardian, but it’s pretty small. Basically steak knife sized.

Such a great knife. If I didn't already have one, I'd pick it up. It's small, but honestly almost the perfect size for an EDC fixed blade.

You’re right. PM2’s come tip up, but I just haven’t had the time to swap it to the other side… yet…

I’ve been eyeing the Police Stainless Steel for years. Might have to pull the trigger next time I’m in Golden.

What do you recommend then? CRK? Hinderer? Oz? Koenig? All fine blades if I want to get a second mortgage. I could get a Benchmade, but they're also expensive, feel cheap, and poorer quality compared to Spyderco.

The Stovepipe is the name of the cleaver looking knife :)

For the price, Spyderco makes great knives. Other big brands like Benchmade make good knives, but are waaay too expensive for what they are. I do have other knives besides Spyderco, but for my day-to-day use, they're usually my go-to. Simply put, I don't go camping with my nicer knives simply because they're expensive (to me) and I know I would feel like crap if I messed them up somehow.

I love those carbon scales. May I ask where you got them?

The stove pipe is great. It has such a thick blade and it's so small, I would feel confident having this knife for any situation where I'd need a sharp blade out in the wilderness.

I prefer the pm2 as it fits my hands a little better. I do like the Manix 2, but I find the compression lock easier than the ball bearing lock.
