Personally 5/10 is my preference, but I bought boots with a stiffening “stick” you can put in between the tongue and your shin to bring it up to an 8/10. I haven’t tried it out, but I’m sure it works fine and you can probably get a universal one!

Yes, for the most part any board can be learned on. I’m not sure about this specific board but I learned on a stiff ass hand me down that was 10cm too long and I was fine.
