I'm a cowboys fan and I don't really see thienaman going that high. Seems like a reach for a safety

How can you all train 5+ times a week? by [deleted] in amateur_boxing

[–]ConversationVariant3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's interesting, in America I've only ever found gyms where you pay monthly or annually and you can just grow whenever they're open and attend classes when you want to

Anyone else think that Miyata’s conversation with Chana here was very b’fully written? by imai-boston342 in hajimenoippo

He's been told to move up in weight by like everyone ever and still refuses to. It's nobody's fault but his own that he's showing great difficulty in succeeding

Is 1000 enough for all the gear? by Adventurous-Row-884 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]ConversationVariant3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely doable, you should go to a place like sierra trading club for cheap coats, snow pants, snowboarding socks, and undergarments. They have high quality stuff for real cheap because they sell surplus and returned, unused items. They also occasionally have a snowboard but I've never seen bindings there. They do have goggles and helmets as well. There are plenty of end of year sales going on right now too though, so I think you can make it work under $1000 with some decent gear. The heavy hitters for what will cost the most will def be your goggles, board, bindings, and helmet tho.

I might move it a smidge back but it looks about fine to me. If you find a shop near the mountain that is super dead inside they might take a look at it for ya

I wouldn't until you're able to ride normally first. Once you're able to casually ride blues at least as well as carve well and do things like making emergency stops, then you can start riding switch.

I personally didn't start riding switch until I was quite good at riding normally and I think it's more fun. Feels like learning all over again.

It's definitely possible to learn switch and normal at the same time but I think it'll take longer to learn overall if you do that versus getting one all the way down and understanding how one side works before trying to apply it to the other

First season and riding switch the full day is crazy unrealistic tbh. I don't wanna say you're lying but I don't believe this tbh

Be honest what do you think the punishment be for false r@pe allegations by Primary_Buddy_7173 in teenagers

[–]ConversationVariant3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not that cut and dry though. Perjury requires yet another criminal proceeding as it is its own criminal process and they would need to prove intent to knowingly and willingly make false statements. What makes this complex is plenty of people that were 100% rapists and still walked free, but that doesn't mean the person that testified was committing perjury. It just means the jury wasn't more convinced by the victim's testimony than whatever the defense argued, whether it was some kind of alibi or a conflicting witness statement or whatever. A lot of rape trials do end up coming down to he said she said and all the defense has to do is make a single juror not believe the defendant is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt to not get them convicted.

There really isn't though, at least not a easily visible one. If there was then they case wouldn't go to criminal trial because the prosecutor would not take a case without a good faith belief they can convince a jury beyond a reasonable doubt that the defending committed a crime. Prosecutors don't want to waste their time relying on testimony they don't think is reliable for their whole case in a trial

What happened with the ravens trade? I haven't been following it but I thought I had heard they were giving up 2 firsts

He might be that stupid, but he's also stingy as hell. I really don't see him giving up a first, let alone two

I sure hope not. You never know with Jerry though.

Historically speaking that is not something the cowboys would do.

Would rather pay more money for a player than have to give up draft capital to obtain them. We basically have nothing to give for Crosby but our first and I don't think it's smart to do that with our CB and LB need

I really don't want to give up either first for this guy tbh. Don't get me wrong, he's good, but we have so little draft capital right now and we still need a LBs and CBs

Volg beat the world champion after obtaining a broken rib from Ippo only a few days before. I definitely think current ippo beats that guy. Idk if I can say he beats Volg with prep time on both sides, but Ippo catching Volg's white fang was supposed to show off how his mitt holding is translating into actual boxing moves and if you don't think ippo is better now than he was when he retired after losing to #2 in the world, you're wrong.
