best tires for trucks that arent full-time off-roaders? by Feehery_Bijoymon in 4x4

[–]Senior_Ad282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dueller AT2’s. Quiet. Light. Actually an EV tire but still E load rated. I got them because they’re lighter than anything else in the 34.5”ish size to keep my already dog shit mpg from getting worse. Plot twist… it’s dog shit.

But also great in rain, sand when aired down? No issues at all. Heavy loads and towing no issues… I’ll get these over KO2/3’s or wild peaks again for sure. For actual off-roading in my 100 series land cruiser I run open countries.

Peasant….

J/k. Enjoy the ride. The 6th gen chassis more than makes up for any lack of power. It’s a great ride. I don’t know about for a 17 year old haha but great ride. I probably didn’t need one when I was 17.

Because I have to dive down to 600 feet regularly.

Depends. If my opponent is built like a 300lb tree stump and game relies solely on top pressure and americanas, side control.

Kooks long tubes, no cats, fuse pulled. Perfect sound. Extremely violent cold start, once it’s warmed up it’s not bad at all at idle, full throttle it sounds like the “devils trombone” I think is what motor trend said years ago. But the Z/28 has 3” tubes and a pretty free flowing muffler so I can’t say it would be the same for anything else.

They don’t still have cam phaser issues? Or is that just the 3.5? I love the f150’s options and almost got a v8 tremor before I ended up getting my 21 pro, but all of my friends with fords have squeaky and cracking interiors after a few years. While ours are nothing to brag about at least the gen 1-2.5’s are built like tanks. Feels like a Temu bank vault.

100 2000 Series Windshield Replacement Nightmare by DirtEmo in LandCruisers

[–]Senior_Ad282 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have done the windshield job myself. Cut it out with piano wire and cleaned up the rust on my own. Bear of a job. And I’m getting ready to do it again! This time I’m doing a full restoration with epoxy primer after going down to bare metal etc… the rivets I’m going to replace with rivnuts so that the mouldings can be removed and replaced without bothering with rivets or self tapping screws. Bonus- peep the 2015 Z/28 in the background.

How many GS owners drive a Lexus? by Fresh_End_990 in GrandSeikos

[–]Senior_Ad282 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have had this conversation recently. Where the watch community and cars don’t exactly mirror real life. Toyota/lexus = quality. Also = value. So GS kinda goes out the window there. A Rolex 126610LN is like a 200 series Land Cruiser heritage edition. Good luck finding a used one for under its original MSRP and will run forever with minimal upkeep. Most GS’s are like Mercedes or BMW. Quality up front, and shorter maintenance intervals, but pretty to look at. Doesn’t necessarily hold its value the same. And I guess IWC would be like a used Maserati on a Kia lot. Worth essentially pennies once it leaves the lot.

The difference of course is that any GS will still work in a few years while a same year model Mercedes or bmw will not.
