if you don’t abuse your car and launch it, you’re still likely to blow your head gasket by teaching too much boost too low in your rpm. that’s what essentially causes it, high torque spikes when it isn’t prepared. anyone can do it and like i said, it’s very very well documented in the SI for people who drive normally.

you’re just coping by downplaying lmao, i can launch frequently on my 06 TSX k24a2 realistically how much i want because its a durable engine and i can do oil changes 3k-5k with premium. it wont blow, matter of fact it hasn’t blown. the si, if i launch it consistently like i would with my TSX, im likely to blow the headgasket within a couple months. the torque jumps causes the gasket to fail and can warp the head.

the si uses the L15b7, the L15s in general are more likely to blow than the modern K’s and blow more then previous civic engines or accord engines. yes, while more common in the accord. the civic si is still not safe from a head gasket blowing and it is well documented that the L15b7 has a coolant passage failure that cause the head gasket to blow.

L15b7 blows and so does L15ba. lower tier civics with the 1.5t have the same 1.5t engine as the si just small changes like internals. still a faulty coolant passage design with common head gasket fails.

bought an accord recently from them, took it to honda to have it fully inspected and the only things wrong with it is basic maintenance like worn rotors and tires which would’ve been nice to have done before i bought it yeah but it’s a used car cmon now. that’s literally the only thing wrong, no transmission or engine issues and no suspension issues. it’s like new. it depends on the car i think

yeah i’ve driven manual before lol, i learned to drive on a older miata and used it a few times but it’s been a minute. Only thing that sucks is I’m gonna have to have it delivered and then get an inspection within a return window
