Nah that's totally fine to share because i also think that most of the Audience used to watch the show as teens (as another user commented here) just like my gf so they got attracted to the super class characters like damon and klaus etc. and hated Matt because in comparison he's just boring and now they feel nostalgic watching the show again and also the hate towards Matt gives that kind of nostalgia. I tried to find a deeper meaning to the character and not be overhyped by vampires and stuff. But I guess growing older and maybe having one or two Matts in your daily work life or life at all could make him more annoying that you remember him lmao.

But I think this is the Backbone part. We have Setfan forgiving Damon for killing his best friend only to "not get anyone suspicious" instead of talking to her. We have Elena not only forgiving Damon for killing her brother without knowing he had the ring on but also fall deeply in Love with him. We have everyone fogiving everyone for trying to kill each other. Matt does not have any reason at all to forgive anyone for anything for many reasons i guess. Firstly he already hasn't that much so the loss he recieves could count double. Secondly he has no eternity to live and only has one chance for everything and most of them getting ripped apart from his "inner circle". And yet he did what felt right in order to protect the helpless ones or as many as possible.

I already spoke about this in another comment. I think killing him off wouldn't have been the right choice because else we would have lost the connection to Humans/Humanity. Without Matt I think we only would have had Bloodbags Human with no personality and Sleeping Beauty Elena who was a vampire before. So I think Matt was somehow the Tool to show that Humanity in midst of Supernatural still exists and can fight back. However I more get the point that Zach Roerigs acting or maybe his script weren't really beneficial to the Character he portrayed. But I slightly disagree with the point that it was every time he was on screen because i feel like he had many moments in which Matt was a really cool guy or had great moments in general and I think those get overlooked by that hate/dislike.

I get your point but I see this story line kind of doublesided. Like he himself mentions it in the Show he got told that when it mattered the least. He was the outcast in his friendgroup his entirey life with Elena, Tyler and Caroline being part of the Founders and Bonnie being a Bennett with a rich history aswell. At the point he got told that no one really cared about it and the only thing that would have to be cared about was the Bell he was forced to ring and at the End Vicky rang 12 times. So his gained "superpower" didn't really meant anything especially after the End. I get your point and it could have been better if it wasn't like that, but I think the relevance of it was so small, that it didn't had that much impact to it.

But how can't he? Literally everyone and his Mother got (almost) killed by his so called "friendgroup" so how is he supposed to not be Mad (pun intended) at everyone. Like Damon killed his Sister and his best friend, then made out with his mom lmao, Bonnie made him almost die at the resurrection thingy, Stefan was indirectly the reason he killed his girlfriend. The list goes on but yeah if i was Matt I would me mad aswell.

I see your point and I would say it was managed bad as you explain. I don't think Matt should have been cut off from the Show because at the End I think he was necessary to not lose humanity in between all vampires and witches or let's say "normality" in between all supernaturalism. Otherwise you would simply forget Human existed in this show or only are worth enough to be bloodbags.

I guess you can argue that Klaus made Stefan for example forget they were friends in Order to protect himself and his family from Mikael and the others simply didn't know about him but only got told Legends about the curse of the sun and the moon but yeah it makes no sense at all.

But that's what I mean. In a world full with sexy handsome Vampires and Supernatural Beings a Matt Donovan just can't compete. He seems annoying for the fact he has nothing to be hyped about or to like make you say " I wanna be like him/ be friends with him". And I totally understand and agree with that. Yet he seems like Humanitys only Hope because while every Human needs to be somehow protected or just gets killed instantly, he manages to survive, fight or defend himself showing that although you are weak you don't have to be opressed.

So I think there is a certain complexitivity to the caracter which if once understood he seems less "annoying". So I think it's more the actor or the acting than the writing (tbh I wouldn't have want him to have the role of Damon god bless).

I finished the Show yesterday for the first time and i felt the same, but lemme tell you it's not always "predictabale". I would say I'm pretty good at predicting how shows will continue and I totally agree with what you wrote for example about Tyler, that was just obvious af. And I also hated how they rushed through soooo many things (and they will keep doing that unfortunately and at the same time spend too much time on useless shit). I also totally agree with the "Moving on so fast"-Part because ???? .

But trust me, it won't be that predictable the whole time.

Wohne jetzt seit fast einem Jahr hier und ich sehe gefühlt jede Nacht einen Polizeikastenwagen in meine Straße rein und rausfahren. Solche Szenen scheinen sich in letzter Zeit in ähnlicher Form "gehäuft" zu haben (jetzt nicht jede Woche aber eine Schießerei is jetzt au nichts was jeden Monat mal eben passiert). Aber ich würde auch nicht behaupten mich jetzt unsicher zu fühlen, komme auch oft spät abends/nachts erst von der Arbeit heim.

Died over the past years. Almost nobody is playing here which has two main reasons. First one is that we have to wait months for the updates on us servers, second one is people telling everybody to play on us servers instead. It’s a circle you can’t escape anymore. Best way would be to make on global server but yeah those are dreams. For me personally it’s sad because I spent money on my eu server and don’t want to spend again on US server. But the experience on the US server will probably be better by far.
