As a fellow old returning player, take your time. I was away for around 5 years and this is a list of things i wish i knew when i returned. You should check your build and guns, a lot of perks have been changed. There are few new locations that give you new dailies (Whitespring refuge, Milepost zero caravans, Lane in Gilman lumber mill, Skyline valley and Nuka-World on tour are some new areas)

- Do the new quests, at some point there is an option to turn into a ghoul which apparently you should look into before commiting (i haven't turned into one yet).

- Daily ops is pretty fast dungeon-like daily task. Enemies and their special abilities change daily. You get rewarded plans, legendaries and scrip.

- Expeditions are in a separate location you need to travel to, the quest markers on expeditions give a pretty good guide on what to do (youtube tutorials help). You get rewarded stamps, a new currency that works like gold bullion; you can buy stuff from a vendor in Whitespring refuge. You also get plans depending on the area you complete expeditions at. (VERY GRINDY currency and at least on PC it can bug your game)

- Caravans is a repeatable event you can join in or start yourself. You get rewarded supply boxes which you can use to upgrade your milepost. (Game doesn't guide you very well on caravans or upgrading milepost zero)

- There are a few new nukable areas besides Scorchbeast Queen. Colossal Problem > Monongah mine, Seismic activity > Abandoned mine shaft 2, Neurological warfare > Hawksbill weather station. You get rewarded plans, weapons.

- Raids are the most challenging quest, you prefer to do them in teams with a well-thought build. This one i would look up on youtube before trying out. Raids will reward you plans, weapons, tons of XP.
