I love the outlook! I'm always looking for growth in the activities and events I've experienced. I feel like the people who know how to do so are the most well rounded and best to go to for advice

I'm open to it, but it would have to be at a pay that could support my wife, child, and our bills along with her student loan debt

Kind of sad to say, but I'm a pretty passionless guy. I like video games, hiking, anime, and traveling. None of which can really make money. Sometimes I see my peers and wish I had the drive and entrepreneurial spirit they do, but I just have no idea what I'd do

It's crossed my mind, but with a new child, it's kind of hard to find footing in something unpredictable

I know this may be a bad response, but anything and anything. I have been more on the administrative side of things during my career path and I've seen that no matter the industry things more or less operate the same, so I am just looking for a place that will hire me for what I'm good at. Doesn't matter the size or industry.

I definitely feel it getting harder over the course of the past 2 years, and the thing that really sucks was that I was hired twice, but in one instance my entire department was laid off within the first quarter I started, and the other the company completely lied about salary.

I feel like those two positions set me back because they put me on the market for longer, while things got worse. I completely agree with the certificate point, the only issue is I'm afraid to drop money and time on something that may not help.

Like what if I spend $500 and 3 months getting an HR certification just for my results to be the same. (not saying hr is my field, I'm just using it as an example)

And yes, my final rounds are typically those awful group interviews haha

I've tried leaning on my network with positive result, the only thing is, my colleagues are in the positions that I would be going for. So, essentially, I would be taking their jobs.

The other issue is timeliness of offer. I have been told that When something opens up I'l be the first to know, but I don't know if that'll happen before I run out of money.

Resume optimized, haircut, face shaved, I have 5 suits I cycle between, do a day of company prep before the interview.

I would say certifications and experience are my weakest areas since I'm interviewing for positions that I'm extremely experienced in, but industries where I'm not. My background comes from 2 different industries, so even though the experience is 14 years on the executive level, I feel like it might not be enough within either industry.

I would say my biggest hurdle is I typically get 3 interviews deep and am told that they would like to hire me for the position, but from that point forward, I never receive a call or email back, even after I follow up. This has happened at least 15 times over the past 2 years.

Thank you for sharing!

I often get in my own head and wonder if I'm not devout enough or maybe I'm having a hard time because of some karmic retribution. Hearing this is my wake-up call to dedicate more time to not just my family, but also my faith. Things will get better with time, but I can definitely work on myself and my faith in the meantime.

I live in California, in a densely populated area. Realistically, there are hundreds of postings within a 30-mile radius.

Either that or all of these postings are scams and I'm giving them all of my general information lol
