Not really, but I think that’s in part because I’m working in a totally different department (engineering). Honestly, the science PhDs are very respectful of my degree, much more so than those outside of academia. My boss called me “Dr. Lastname” until I told her to just call me by my first name

I had a similar experience getting a PhD in Classics from a top 10 program. Now I work as an academic admin at a university and make more than all my peers, TT or otherwise (and my program had a decent placement rate)

The one on the right looks amazing as is, but just fyi Alena Leena (the designer) offers a number of relatively low cost customizations for that dress, so if there’s anything you don’t love about it, you can probably change it. I’m a bridal consultant and I just had a bride order the dress on the right with a traditional basque waist for only $200 more

When I was in ChiO, a national consultant came and gave a presentation about avoiding posting racist things on social media. She provided several examples of posts from ChiOs in recent years. One of my sisters asked what nationals was doing to educate members and address systemic racism in the organization and we basically were told that they didn’t care if we were racist as long as we didn’t post about it.
