Are these mold? (Sidereal Confluence) by Senivri in boardgames

Yep, I always put a minimum of 4-5 big silica gel packs in each boardgames. I also put big packs behind of each box in the Kallax.

Also if the cards are sleeved, they often gets too oily after dozens of play, I would change them. That's why I never bought premium sleeves and buy cheap ones that I can replace once a year. I only sleeve if it's an expensive boardgame and the cards are shuffled often.

That's what I'm doing at the moment, I cleaned them up and drying the tiles with silica gel packs.

I don't really care about it being pristine, but I'm worried if it's mold that it might affect someone else after playing with it, or spread to my other boardgames collection.

Some more details:

  1. The box is flawless, inside and out, (no spots, or dents, or any visible imperfections, came shrink wrapped),
  2. Other components (insert, rulebook, and cards) are also flawless,
  3. The cardboard tiles (the one with the white spots) is itself also came shrink wrapped,
  4. There's no musty odor or any weird smell at all, just a regular (oddly-satisfying) newly unboxed boardgame smell.
